• Re: Lintronic (Windows 7 TLS/SSL) issues

My final solution is: 1. I have installed Win 10 in the VirtualBox hosted in Win 7 machine. Actually you do not necessarily need to activate Win 10. 2. I have installed the Lintronic Configurator in the Windows 10. Registry tweak mentioned in AppNote is needed to obtain the license from the server. 3. I have used the USB-Serial cable to connect to Lintronic. You need to make sure that you have set the USB forwarding in VirtualBox properly and install the cable drivers at Win 10. 4. It works.

I have the answer from Michael which I will not quote here because it is below my understanding of politeness. But shortly, he said that Win 7 is not supported and the server settings will not be updated. I list here my own findings that may be useful for other users who will face the same issue (quoted from letter to Michael): I have checked what encryption method Lintronic.dk uses with this tool: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=lintronic.dk&hideResults=on&latest You can see

Thank you, Ravsted, For some reasons I am not ready to leave Windows 7 (I also have to have the dedicated 32-bit machine for Beo5 programming). Indeed, Michael answered very quickly, pointing me to the application note, but when I have said that it does not work, the support stopped. I have studied the topic and realized that looks like Lintronic.dk uses the encryption protocol (TLS 1.3 and 1.2) and algorithms (cipher suites) that are not supported by Windows 7 and there are no way to install newer

  • Lintronic (Windows 7 TLS/SSL) issues

I have recently tried to install the Lintronic Configurator on Windows 7 machine, but faced the issue that I cannot download the software, because Lintronic has changed the encryption protocol on the servers. After several tricks with another Win 10 machine I have managed to download and install the software, but still cannot connect to activate the license. I have read and implemented both Lintronic AppNote and Microsoft Article but with no success. The log says it is unable to create the SSL/TLS

I have a small idea on usability of BeoLiving App. 1. I have the list of favourites for my Radio,TV and NetRadio sources. When I want to choose the station, I am chosing the source, then go to favourites and then choose the needed station. Then... interface sends me back to initial state. Often I do not like the first chosen station and I would like to see what else happens on other favourites stations. Then I need to go through three steps again. Proposal: Can it be done that one stays on the Favourites

  • Re: BLGW + BS5 + V.AUX

After all those years i still suffer on a item 2) It is clear, that BeoSound 5 is designed the way that when you power it on it immediatelly starts to play last song, which I personally hate. For example, when you are in the mood to listen some relaxing lounge at the evening you have to start with the loud Disco that you have listened last time during the party. On a Beo5 I should be able to choose the N.Music and add the PAUSE command to the same button (did not try yet, but will do soon). But since

  • Re: How to capture from KNX to BLGW?
Hello all, we appear to have arrived late to the party! @Aleksei, glad to hear you got the system working with the addresses. There should not be a problem with the capture feature on the BLGW or on the BLI with KNX products. If you still wish to solve this particular issue please don't hesitate to contact us through here or at support@khimo.com so as to try and find any particularity in your installation that could be making it fail.
Hello, Sorry

I haven't tried yet, but shoud be possible by assigning the list of B&O specific group addresses. Thanks for the Basalte Eve reference! This is exactly what I am looking for. Though the pricing is higher than expected. I am using the iPad with BeoLink 2 now, but not totally happy with it. First, you need to be very careful while tapping, the ocasional change of the scenes is a usual issue. The other thing is that you need to put iPad in kiosk (single app) mode. Otherwise it is annoying for

If you can afford it, go ahead. KNX is much better supported than BLGW :))) My next plan is to use Gira X1, that should even replace Beolink on iPhone.
