  • Re: Eclipse and Beosound 9000

Hi, just saw this thread. May I ask how you connect the BS9000 to Eclipse, via the digital out or via the powerlink? I cannot figure out how to connect my BS9000 to Eclipse. BS9000 has a digital out, but Eclipse doesn't have digital in. Only Optical or line-in. So I got stuck. Thanks in advance !

  • Re: Beolab8000 + Playmaker + non-B&O DAC = no sound ?

@Urike @ Jeff, Thank you for the input ! The reason I use playmaker as the intermediate is because the prewire. I put all the speakers on main floor and upper floor , while all the amplifiers, streamers, etc are in the data room at basement and I mainly distribute the audio via the cat7 cable (from the wallplate behind the speaker to the dataroom.) So I can Powerlink-RJ45 from speaker to Playmaker and then normal RCA from auralic - playmaker. I will try again/check if I de-select airplay and see

  • Beolab8000 + Playmaker + non-B&O DAC = no sound ?

Hi everyone, I have a Beolab 8000 connected to the playmaker and it works fine. I can airplay the music via the playmaker. Recently, I want to add another source of music from my NAS, I use the line-in of the playmaker and connected to the non-B&O DAC analogue output. But there is no sound if I want to play music from the DAC. The Beolab 8000 even didn't turn green. If I connect Beolab8000 line directly to the DAC, it also works. So, in short - Beolab8000 + playmaker -- Ookay -Beolab8000

Beojeff´╝î Very good point ! I am now revisiting my approach to have the Matrix. Looks like buying 3 Apple TV 4K is much cheaper and hassle-free solution. Thank you again for all the info you provided and have a nice weekend !

@beojeff, Thank you so much ! It is very informative ! And it in fact save me some cost, because I consulted a local A/V dealer and they suggested atlona + Controll4 EA-5 to distribute the video. (I don't like the control4 remote control /charging station. I would like to use BeoRemote One/Beo4.) I have some further questions regarding the atlona system: - Understand a key code is needed for BV7-55, do I need a key code for Beo Eclipse as well ? ( also, do I need to buy key code for other model

  • Re: Beolab 90 streaming?

Get an Auralic Aires G2 to connect to your BL90s, which is a very nice media bridge.

  • Beolab 5 + streaming DAC

Hi Everyone, I connected my BL5s to a streaming DAC, since the streaming DAC only have analogue output, I use a pair of RCA-RCA phono to connect the BL5 and DAC, and also use a sync cable to connect the 2 speakers. The issue I have is that every time I want to play the music from the streamer (connected to the NAS), I have to turn on the BL5, and once the music is over, BL5 will not automatically turn off. This is not convenient at all. Anyone know how to get around it ? I tried to insert the playmaker
