    If you get the power amplifier at the base of the Pentas out of the way, there is a nice set of speaker binding posts to be found. It's kind of a fiddly job and requires some Torx bits, a good sharp screwdriver, a 5.5mm wrench, and patience. I did exactly this with my Penta gen. 1 or 2 last week when one of them started emitting a loud hum; a Peachtree Decco now powers them very enjoyably. Personally I prefer running the Pentas this way, although it was not the original intent of the designers
