• Re: The LG 2019 OLED gets WiSA-based wireless Dolby Atmos audio.
That was the question I posed (I think) a few weeks ago - no mix and match is not a great outcome, when using WISA. Especially when it comes to the Rollable - the massive box speaker is therefore unusable in a 5.1 setup. Less of an issue for the C,E,G,W series I guess, but still not perfect.
The W serie also have a soundbar that would be in the way. Very strange that they have not released a Wallpaper without sound yet. For the W and R serie it could be relevant

  • Re: Anything New for 2019?

Clearly the seasonal colours aren’t for you Puncher, but I do believe they can have a significant impact on sales by fostering additional interest every six months. Presumably B&O see sales spike when they release new colours otherwise they would stop doing it. I don’t think it should be a case of spending the money on other things. Surely money should be spent on all the areas you mention at an appropriate level in addition

Yes everyone could pick the new colour of the season. Easiest job in the world to figure out what people will buy. (If it is not clear I am holding up my sarcasmen sign!)

Any way... Looking bright for the B&O year, if we see the comments. A 77" Eclipse, Maybe a 88" model Maybe a whole new TV with moving speakers A Updated Horizon with Web OS but still LED A Besound Core update A soundbar 3.0 A whole new tablet with multiroom control. Not sure if all or any is coming. But very interesting future.

Whilst I mock and over exaggerate to make my point I will ask how many new, new sales does this generate? For example how many Dusty Pink H9i's will be sold where, without the pink option, there would not have been an H9i sale at all? This together with the point made by others, i.e. design a killer product and it's colour is irrelevant.
I’m not sure the sales information is available

I wanted the H9i this December, as a very nice colour was available, sadly it was sold out and I did not buy them. All dealers had sold out of this colour, so it must have had some influence.
Absolutely do not understand wanting/needing headphones but not buying them because they aren't Dusty Pink (insert own colour here)!
That is okay Puncher, I am just telling you that it can be the case for a lot of people

  • Re: WiSA 5.1 recommendation for center channel

There is no problem with that solution. I had the setup with a Marantz with wired Beolab 20 and WiSa Beolab 17 as Surround. I choose the wired for the Beolab 20, as it takes some seconds for the WiSa to start up with the Transmitter. With the preout directly to Beolab 20 the sound where there instant. Personnel I would choose the Beolab 17 in your case. Wire if you want sound instant when you start up, WiSa if you don't want the extra cable. Works perfect both ways. I would not choose the speakers

  • Re: BEOVISION ECLIPSE

Not that it is any excuse, but it is related to the LG hardware I think, I cannot find any solution for it. The soundcenter part fine for me, with airplay, radio and so on. For streaming as I said I use Apple TV, So I don't notice it in the daily use, But yes it should not be the case.

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen in 2019... Your predictions?

There is more adjustment possibilities with the Eclipse, and the Beoremote one, But as it have been a long time since I have had hands on with the Avant, I can not say for certain which ones. The UI for me do not feel as a hybrid, as I mostly use the Apple TV, And almost all of the adjustments you have to make in the LG menus you can do directly from the remote, picture settings and so on. And the B&O menus, are better than ever, much simplere and detailed.
