• Re: Beovision 11 does not find mkv and mp4 files by WiFi
I am using the DLNA server in Windows 7 , guess I have been doing that without thinking of it as such.
I am not a Windows user any longer, but to the best of my knowledge MKV has never been supported on Windows with its built-in tools. Personally, I use Plex Media Server to serve and transcode videos to all my devices (it is also DLNA compliant).

  • BV10 - Speaker volume setting vs distance setting

This might be a silly question, you are warned. My right speaker (one of two BL 6000) is further from the TV than the left one (+ ~1m to the listening position). The difference is noticeable. I have seen that there are two settings in the TV which can be altered: the individual volume of the speaker and the distance. What is the right way to proceed? I have set the proper distances but it is not enough. Should I raise the Right volume or decrease the Left one? Or for some reason changing the distances
« So its going to need a sub and has no DVD/BLURAY player built in. Not really the new Avant then » Not sure, Chris. I think the substitute of the Avant was the BeoVision 7-32 in 2005 : dvd player, amazing BL7.1, motorized stand,... But in 2014, i believe a new 4K panel, a great speaker (always better than the mass market TV), a powerfull image and sound engine, and a clever connectivity panel, can make this new TV the modern Avant. The Blu-ray tends to

Here's one of them. http://mashable.com/2014/04/16/bang-olufsen-store/ The article title is "Poof! Speakers Disappear at Bang & Olufsen's Concept Store" but it has nothing to do with the new TV :)

  • Re: May the 8th spoiler thread
The viewing angle on LCD/LED is the worst thing about it. Not much B&O can do about that.
I'm no expert, but the viewing angle of my BV10-46 seems much better.
So, if your BV10-46 is a relatively recent purchase, it might actually have a newer and more up-to-date panel then the BV11.
I don't think it applies to my case. We got the BV 10 in March 2012, and it was in stock at my dealer, so it's unlikely the panel is newer. Anyway, I was just told that the Avant will be initially available in 55", and in August there will be a 85". They also mentioned a third size, but I can't remember if they

I'm also waiting... the thing is that if for some reason the design sucks (or better, does not suit the living room according to the house Chief Interior Design Officer...), I'm stuck because I'm definitely not impressed with the angle of vision of the BV11, compared to my current BV10. Anyway, my dealer swears on 4K and CHF 3000 less than the BV11. The 11-55 costs ~13000 CHF (with the motorised stand and a Beo4) without taking into account the trade-in (CHF 1850 over here). Not a dramatic

  • Re: The best movies to really enjoy Bang & Olufsen

Tron:Legacy. Great effects, plenty of opportunities to appreciate handling of black, and amazing soundtrack. The plot though is nothing to write home about.

  • Re: Two new TV's coming; one being called AVANT ....

My dealer confirmed May 8th as the date for the unveiling of the new TV, costing less than the 11 (I was about to buy the 55") and with a 4K panel. Another dealer from another country told me that I might be a bit surprised by the design...
