  • Re: BtB functionality?

Hi Martin, that is incredibly kind. I'll consider the possibilities that the BTB module might offer but in reality will probably take it out. I may be in touch for some advice if I can't work it out and the offer still stands! all the best Luke

  • Business to Business module - home automation possibilities?

dear all, I have a BTB module in my beocenter 6-26. It's currently disabled in the service menu and by design it prevents the PUC controller from working. It's a quirky addition to the set, and I have no real idea how it works. I'm controlling my peripheral devices with a lintronic box at the mo, and it strikes me that since the BTB has an RS232 connector it could potentially interface with the the lintronic box? I don't know if that would provide any interesting home automation possibilities

  • Re: Beovision 5's now worthless?

Incedentally I now have A pretty decent B&O multi-room AV installation in the house, complete with home automation (via lintronic, x10 and insteon); I've bought all my stuff second hand on eBay and never spent more than £200 on an individual component (my record is £10 for two Beo4s!) admittedly a large proportion have required a repair, but in my experience the build quality of B&O and the ease of service is second to none. I've been really surprised recently by the bargains you can pick up on eBay - I've been after a beovision for many years and recently bought a beocenter 6-26 with built in dvb-t for just over £100. It has 2 HD inputs (admittedly 720p but who cares on a 26" screen) via DVI and component so I can connect (with a bit of effort) my Apple TV and a humax youview hard disk recorder. The picture is far better than the Samsung I was using previously at 1080p, and the sound is very good

  • Re: Beocenter 6-26 PUC problem

Dear all, it turns out that my set has the BTB "business to business" module installed. This is really for integration with hotel systems, and prevents the PUC from working as normal apparently. All the best, Luke.

  • Re: BtB functionality?

Dear all, apologies to hijack but I also have a non functioning PUC on my recently purchased beocenter 6-26 (I see a steady blinking red light on the IR blaster connected to it) and was wondering why I could not get it to work. Last night I checked the service menu and it seems that I have the BTB module installed. Is there any way to enable my PUC or will I have to get the BTB module removed? Is there any particular benefit for a home user to have the BTB module installed (e.g. Connect to a home

  • Re: Wanted: Beo4 service upgrade kit mk5

Thanks Guy, that is what I thought- no one seems to have a mk5 upgrade and a "new" Beo4 MK5 looks like the only solution. I've already got 5 of them so I may flog a couple and save up for the Beoremote One which is more customisable. Like I need an excuse!

  • Re: Beocenter 6-26 PUC problem

Thanks everyone for your good advice. Andrew, I was hoping to use the remote learn function once I've got the PUC working, so glad to hear it has worked for you. A very clever work around to get a nice key mapping! Sounds like I need to have a chat with my B&O dealer about a possible fault on the PUC. Thanks again, Luke

  • Re: Beocenter 6-26 PUC problem

Thanks everyone- I'll give that a try tonight! Just out out of interest should the IR blaster's red indicator LED flash steadily and continuously? I thought it would just flash when commands are being transmitted. Mine blinks even when I'm not pressing anything.
