  • Re: BeoVision11 WLAN Help please!!!

Brilliant Opman. My SSID Descriptor on the Time Capsule include "Wi-Fi", shortening it to WiFi and the BV11 connected straight to it. I wont start a rant on why this might be the case on an $16K TV when an $80 Pioneer DVD can cope with a hyphen, but anyway....problem solved and old network shut down again. Thanks!

  • BeoVision11 WLAN Help please!!!

Hi everyone. For reasons around a large WLAN network with old and new equipment connected I currently secure my system with MAC address control using a new Apple Time Capsule. Last week on install I simply could not get the BV11 to connect to the Time Capsule Router using the MAC address control method and in the end I resorted to turning my old Belkin modem WLAN MAC address control back on. Prior to this the Belkin was supplying the Time Capsule with the Internet. This works fine and despite the

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

It's a bit squished in, but there's a fish tank to the left out of shot which cannot be moved. Still looks and sounds great though, Wish my camera would capture just how very, very good the picture quality is...

Hi Guys, I think I have noticed the backlight issue once, but it didn't last long enough for me to experiment with it. It was a widescreen movie from the 80's and at the top left of the screen there was about 40cm of dashed white light. However, I am wondering now having played with the TV settings a bi whether or not this is simply the cropping/overscan setting which I have tweaked a bit since on some BlueRays it was almost like the TV was running out of information at the edges and they

As promised it all went in today and so far so good. I didn't realize that the wall bracket was still actually a hinge which means I can still easily get to the rear of the system if need be. I haven't really started playing with the settings much yet but have worked out how to use the BV11 speakers, the BL9 speakers or both together and the decoding is great. Watching Yellowstone BlueRay the centre channel works lovely for the narration and detail with the BL9 immersing the sound stage with

This is so confusing, but as I am in an all Apple environment and do not currently have any issues decompressing and streaming ALAC which I understand to be give or take the same quality as FLAC, I think I will stick with the Apple solution at the moment. At the risk of throwing another curly question into the debate though, what do we think about keeping my basic Denon UD-M31 mini system in the system via the line in socket of the Playmaker. Initially I thought that for that considering how much

A few friends have suggested NAS. I think if Playmaker supports FLAC I might do it as the quality I understand would be better. Otherwise I tend to leave the iMac asleep with wake for Network set on power control option which works OK for other AirTunes devices I am running at the moment. For the lab 9 I am hoping I can run the playmaker to 1 pair of power link connections and the BV11 to the other pair of power link connections. Therefore not needing the TV to be on for playmaker 2.2 audio. I don't

Hi all. Well I have just jumped in with an order for a 55" BV11 with a pair of BLab9, Apple TV and Playmaker. Very excited to be receiving it all in about 2 weeks. The forum has been a great help in aiding me to make the decision to get this setup, but not much activity in the last couple of months. Any new experiences with the BV11, issues or installation considerations that I might like to consider before the kit arrives. I am really hoping to drive the BL9 with the playmaker for classical
