  • Beosound 35 v's Beosound Stage

We have a tiled, rectangular open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area measuring about 6m x 14m and I am thinking to place either a Beosound 35 (if I can find one), a Beosound Stage (vertically), a pair of Beolab 3's or even a Naim Mu-so 2 on the console behind the sofa facing into the rest of the dining and kitchen area to fill this space predominantly with music transmitted using airplay function. Looking for subtle but detailed background music while dining or cooking from a minimalist form. I

  • Back in love with BeoVision

Not trying to spruike anything, but I just wanted to share how I really did fall out of love with my BeoVision 11 as the OS became less and less up-to-date. We rarely watch terrestrial TV these days, instead leaning on Netflix, Disney, Apple, YouTube, Amazon etc. for much of our viewing. Having recently purchased a Google TV for our outdoor projector, I thought I would try it on our BV11 55" which had been relegated to the parents retreat as it just felt so out of date. Well, the little Google

  • Re: New products in the store, Harmony and Stage

Agree that the Stage is very impressive. Power and projection are way ahead of any competitor at any price point that I have otherwise heard. Think it would be very sufficient in a small to medium lounge where surround or floor standing speakers would be difficult to place. As for the TV, I saw it plugged into a Beolab 90/50 surround sound setup and the whole thing was breathtaking, but so it should be for $200,000AU. I just can’t take the step from what is a impressive $6K OLED panel to something

  • Re: Some good news for Australia

My partner already calls me a Chadstone whore as I am banging my credit card in there pretty much every week. As if I needed another reason to go this is very exciting - new store about 10 minutes from home :-)

  • Re: Others unimpressed by B&O...

I have lusted for B&O from an early age. In many respects I used to see them as Apple - ahead of their time. People love, and will pay for Apple, because it just works. When I became old enough to actually afford to buy B&O initially I was convinced that this was the experience I was looking for. Design and performance effortless combined. My BV11 and the BeoLab 9’s filled my home with gorgeous sound and a beautiful picture. Then I noticed that some cells on the TV were dead - on a

Even without seeing it, I couldn’t see how I could go from $4,850AU to $22,000AU for what’s effectively a very good sound bar on a fudged up LG panel. We have a BV11 55 and LG65 curved LCD in the house already and I decided just to pick up a basic LGC7 65 OLED (no need for E7, G7), plug it into the Essence using the headphone line in and run the audio through the Beolab9. It’s perfect. The acoustic lens are more than adequate for the ‘centre channel’ voices. The only

  • Re: BeoMusic app is merging with Bang & Olufsen app

I downloaded and found it to be totally unusable with my new Essence II running from iPhone 7. Using TuneIn it repeatedly turns itself up to Maximum volume causing most of the neighbourhood to think we had been nuked as the Lab5's exploded with Wagner The other main thing I use the Essence for is running the Line In from our TV. For some reason the new App seems to stop the Essence detecting the line in and constantly goes to Bluetooth which means when I get an SMS my Lab5's sound like like

  • Re: Beovision 11 replacement

I have an early 55" Beovision 11. My partner has just brought a new expensive Other brand 65" curved LCD UHD set. The B&O kicks the UHD hands down in perceived image quality stakes unless the UHD set is being fed a Bluray HD signal, in which case it's similar. I was truly surprised at this as the UHD set is it least 2 years 'newer'. The B&O might not have the fancy apps of the 65" either, but it's a much slicker operation to drive around the menus than the UHD

  • Beolab 3 and IWS

Has anyone heard if there are plans to incorporate wireless into the Beolab 3? I would really like to pair them with my penguins for rear surrounds so the 17 won't really do.
