2 Beosystem 1 for sale on Ebay US right now... Ralf
Actually there are 4, but some of them have been there for months due to high prices.. I have read there is a difference between the mk1 and mk2 versions when it comes to video processing, but is there any difference in the audio processing? eg any reason to stay away from mk1?
Anyone knows what is Dual loop 3? I think B&O needs to tighten up their act with Icepower because with Hypex Ncore technology out and Direct Digital Amplifiers with distortion levels that equals high end DACs.
There is a description on page 7 on this document http://www.icepower.bang-olufsen.com/files/solutions/icetheater7_web_class_d_amplifier.pdf
If you do get a BeoSystem 1, I would recommend having the code converter database on it updated. It does a nice job controlling Apple TV, most blu-ray players, and cable/satellite boxes. While your lintronic setup can do this, it just works more elegantly with the BeoSystem 1. Also, Monster makes an hdmi switcher than can learn the IR commands coming from the BeoSystem 1 that were intended to control the Zektor switch box.
Thanks Jeff. Do you have the model
A BS1 and the BL7-4 would in your case make sense. As I read 'projector' I immediaitely thought of Bluray-discs But with Netflix as it is now, the BS1 might be a good solution. I suppose you plan to hook the sound up to the BS1 via the digital coax? The AV7000 and the BS1 was only sold in North-America. How much would a secondhand BS1 cost? Greetings Millemissen
The remaining 30% is in fact BluRay :-) however netflix on PS3 is pretty good - especially
Hi CheapB, both BS0 (the AV7000) and BS1 are analog based surround systems. Not even the digital coax-in of the BS1 would make things better than the AV7000, since you can't transport PCM 5.1-sound over digital coax. For an upgrade to proper 5.1-surroundsound you need a system with HDMI. That means either a BS3 or some kind of 3.party soundprocessor - could be a Rotel. If you go that route, I am sure you can get lots of infos/inspiration how to connect your

  • Replacing AV7000

It is time to replace my old AV7000 surround unit, but there is no way I am getting beosystem 3 for the current price/feature set. This is my scenario: The video is routed to the projector via a HDMI switch box - I don't need video processing/scaling - if the source does does not have HDMI, it probably would look terrible on a 150" screen anyway. The A7000 is processing the surround sound and everything is controlled via Beo4/Lintronic. I have BL1 in the front and BL4000 in the back. the

  • Re: What's the WORST product in the B&O line-up

Master Link - may not be a specific product, but most other multi room systems have far better capabilities and can run different sources from the main system to different rooms at the same time.

  • Re: New Beo 4 with Joystick: Other IR Frequencies? Usable for third party equipment?

The easiest way to get beo4 to control other products is to use a converter box from Lintronic.

  • Re: Beosystem 4

Well said! I would still like to see the V1 surround engine as a stand alone product, so the display and then surround unit can be upgraded separately. As the V1 TV is under $3,500 the surround unit should be a fraction of this..
