Re: BeoRemote protocol documentation
I know this is an old posting but it looks very interesting. It would be a great way to use the app for product that are currently not supported. I am thinking maybe have a raspberry PI or similar communicate with the BeoRemote and then pass on the commands to a lintronic box? Have you captured enough data to emulate the the other end of the BeoRemote?

Beosystem 3 Type 9621
I am considering replacing my Beosystem 1 with a used beosystem 3. I have found several offerings of a BS3 type 9621, but I cannot find any documentation for this particular type. The normal US version is 9606.. Any info on this?

Re: Beosystem 1 US setup menu gone - pls help
so i let the Beosystem 1 stay on with the menu selected for a period of time and suddenly the menu came on a second at a time and then gone again. this pattern repeated - off for 5-10 seconds and then on for 1 sec. with this I was able to put the external sources back in again, so the audio inputs became active again, so it is working for now - at least until next time... I did try 2 different monitors, As mentioned I am only using the audio part - not even the PUC. I am using lintronic for the remote

Re: Beosystem 1 US setup menu gone - pls help
Yes, I looked into the Monster HDMI Switch. The main reasons I am not using the PUC are : 1) it is not flexible enough. For example I am using V.AUX for an audio source with toslink and when I select V.AUX I need the source to change and the speaker to go to Stereo, so I need 3 commands to be fired. I have not found a way to have the number of speakers set by source by default. 2) I like to be able to control my system from my iphone and the Lintronic box is very easy to interface with.

Beosystem 1 US setup menu gone - pls help
My beosystem 1 has "lost" the setup of the external sources. I am only using the Beosystem to route audio and is normally not using the video. to get the setup back i connected a VGA monitor, but when I hit menu I just get a black screen instead of the system menu. any ideas? I have done this in the past with no problems, when the sources were set to generic NTSC (or something like that) Thanks in advance, Jim

Re: Beosystem 1 US setup menu gone - pls help
well, that is annoying as I only have had it for 9 months. I doubt it will be cost effective to get it looked at or fixed. Thanks all for the response. Jim

Re: Beosystem 1 Issues - Any help?
I connected the bs1 datacable to a gender changer, and plugged it into the serial port of an old laptop running windows. Yes, it's the same cable, but a gender changer is required.
I dont use the dataport, and I don't have the USB type B/DB9 cable. I was trying to use a regular Type A/B USB cable, but it was not recognized. Is there a way to use a standard USB cable for this? or alternatively anyone who has a pinout of the cable connections? IF so
