  • Re: Beogram 5000 turntable belt needed

I think it's fair that people who use this site regularly, whether that be looking for solutions to B&O hardware/software issues, or like me on this occasion, asking advice and looking for replacement parts, should be contributing financially towards the running of the site by upgrading their membership. This site is a fantastic B&O resource (with a very friendly, informative and helpful community) which I for one greatly appreciate it being available. I doesn't matter to me after

I couldn't agree more that it's perfectly reasonable and the site has to be funded somehow

Hi Kallasr It's fine. This site is a valuable source for all things B&O so I'm happy to contribute with the silver membership :-)

Hi Martin. Thanks for your reply. That is fantastic news a repair is possible. I’ll contact Tim Jarman as you have suggested to ask for his help. I’ll let you know the outcome. Paul [quote user="Dillen"] Of course it can be repaired and your Beogram is welcome by me in Denmark but shipping back and forth could be a little costly. Depending on where you are in the UK, I would suggest asking Tim Jarman. He is extremely good with the older pieces - but also very busy. His website

Hi Dom. Thanks for your reply and your thoughts on the matter. Sorry to hear that you had a similar experience in the past. I’d like to get this unit repaired if the cost is not prohibitory expensive as once done, it will be a great sounding, good looking deck to partner with the BM5500. Paul

At the time of buying there were no affordable Beogram 5500's available on eBay. When the turntable arrived, it was in very good condition cosmetically as advertised, however the seller had forgotten to secure the deck mechanism using
