Maybe the attached document will help?

  • Re: Moving away from BeoSound 5
I might add that the NL/ML converter was really nicer than it really NEEDED to be -- in terms of materials and aesthetics. It has this huge slab of beautiful brushed aluminum (it's the same casing as the BLGW) that feels like it should be showcased on the wall. Yet, most of us are likely to hide it away in a cabinet and never see the beauty of it. Perhaps a smaller, just plastic device could have been manufactured at a better price.
The large slab of

  • Re: Another Beolink set up question BV11 with BM5, BS9000 and essence in same room

Connect the BM5, BS9000, and BLGW to the NL/ML converter (masterlink) You'll need to configure the BM5 as a source centre (to provide N.MUSIC / N.RADIO sources), and the BS9000 must have software version >=2.2. Configure the NL/ML converter in Video Master role, and ensure all the required sources from BM5 and BS9000 are ticked in the 'sources provided to NL' screen. Configure the BV11 to connect to the NL/ML converter, and say yes to same room / use tv speakers question. This should

  • Re: Beolab 8000 - recloth frets for less than 10GBP

Yes, all around the perimeter of the frame, on the inside, which is the same place that the original fabric is attached. Best regards, Martin.

  • Re: Cleaning Beolab 9

In the past I have removed the covers from my BL9s and soaked them in a bath full of water with some laundry detergent, then just rinsed them off and let them drip dry. I've done the same with my BL8000 frets too as both have plastic frames. No problems with shrinkage, stretching, or water marks, although we do have very soft water where I live - if you're in a hard water area you might have more issues with water marks. Martin.

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

If you want something slightly more discreet under the cills, D-Line 22mmx22mm quadrant / quarter round trunking works very well under cills and in corners (I think screwfix sell it now). I've also painted it successfully in the past to match wall colours (just give it a light sanding first to remove the 'glossiness'). Martin.

  • Re: devolo dLAN or AVM FRITZ!Powerline

Yeah, you can even mix powerline adapters from different manufacturers (although pairing them can sometimes involve a bit of trial and error). The 1200Mbps products are usually much better than the old 500Mbps products as the newer powerline chipset makes use of the earth cable too (if present!). The WiFi implementation in some of the TP-link adapters is rather buggy so best to choose another manufacturer is you want a device with wifi built in, but the non-wifi TP-link adapters seem okay.
leogoeswild: Was curious if you ever tried connecting an old Ir eye with the rj45 cable to one of the new NL devices.
Using one of the old IR eyes should work if all you want to do is receive IR (just connect the +5V, 0V and IR wires), but the method of data communication for button presses and the status LED on the eye has changed so these functions would not work if you were to use an old eye with one of the new products. On the plus side, ditching the
I just have resized the cloned HDD, but the BS5 does not boot to 100%. Starting is stoped with an error : Unable to write to E:\BM-Share\ ... As I had to gain access to the 1TB on a Windows Pc I've tested several things including rightsmanagement. I will restart from scratch and keep you informed. BTW how did you connect a mouse to the BM5, mine did not respond.
In my experience this error always occurs when any changes are made to the partition table,

  • Re: Cat7 cables instead of ML and Powerlink

The B&O supplied RJ45 keystone outlets are Cat6 - more specifically they are AMP Netconnect AMP-Twist SL series. Your electrician is right that there are no Cat7 compliant RJ45 outlets as it is not possible to meet the frequency requirements of Cat7 in this connector format, but for B&O use this isn't an issue so any shielded Cat6 or Cat6e keystone outlet designed for S/FTP cable and designed to accept the conductor size of whichever brand of Cat7 cable you are using will be fine.
