• Re: Beovision Eclipse and sky q box

If the cable used is premium certified, there really shouldn't be an issue - I often use 5m premium certified cables for wall mount installations - much longer than this and you usually have to resort to fibre optics. Of course a faulty or damaged cable cannot be ruled out, and that's going to be a pain if it is chased into a wall. If the TV is on the hinged wall bracket, you should find there is enough cable length to try it temporarily in one of the sockets on the screen, but this probably

  • Re: hi,how can i connect my beosound moment to beovison harmony

If you first JOIN the moment, you can then program a My button to select this source directly in the future. Not quite full product integration but close. I tend to recommend the BeoRemote One BT version without Netflix / Amazon buttons in this scenario as it has 4 my buttons rather than one.
Until I borrowed the Beoremote One and changed the setting in the menu, I could not move up and down the menu tree of my BeoSystem 3 with my go Beo4.
Just for future reference in case anyone else finds themselves in this situation, you don't need to borrrow a BR1 or Beo4 Nav button version. You can use the number buttons to navigate the menus to change the settings - button 1 selects the first item in the menu, button 2 the second, and so on...

I believe the Western Digital 'Blue' 3D NAND SSD is the same drive as the Sandisk Ultra 3D, so it should also work (and is often a little cheaper). I'm going to try the 2TB version soon since I'd already upgraded my BM5 to a 2TB hard drive and I don't want to loose capacity when I switch to SSD.

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse and sky q box

Hi Thorne, Are you in the UK? I'm basing my answers on UK Sky Q boxes, but I know sky Q is available in some other countries and I don't know what differences (if any) there are. Whilst B&O's response about 4:4:4 10bit @ 60Hz not being supported is correct - Sky Q boxes, at least those in the UK, output in 8 or 10 bit 4:2:0 which is supported. Please advise whether you are using the sky supplied HDMI cable, or an alternative cable, and if the latter, how long it is and whether it

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse sound settings

As such, I tend to configure the startup group for the desired music setup (usually Left Front and Right Front only), and create a new group for Video sources (including Centre Front, and perhaps Surround speakers) and configure each video source to use this. That way, when you join a source from another product, where you have no way to configure the Eclipse to use anything other than the Startup group, it is already set appropriately for music.

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse sound settings

The speaker group section in the sound menu is where you create speaker groups, you can then choose which one is used on a per source basis, or you can switch between these with LIST -> Speaker. The startup group is also used as the default for any sources which are not explicitly listed in the sources menu. For example if you JOIN a source from another multiroom product.

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse and sky q box

The suggestion is to connect it directly to the screen for testing, not permanently, as it may aid in determining where the fault lies. If it works when connected directly to the screen, but not to the sound centre (assuming you use the same cable), then it is likely the issue is with the sound centre, or the short HDMI cable connecting the sound centre to the screen. If it still doesn't work when connected directly to the screen, then the issue is likely to be with the sky box or the cable you

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse and sky q box

I've generally found the sky q boxes don't reliably detect 10 bit if you use the auto detect, but I've never had an issue getting them to use 10 bit when selecting this option manually providing both the UHD deep colour settings are turned on. You usually get a blank screen for a number of seconds, then just about enough time to select the button confirming it is working before the timer runs down to zero and it reverts back to the previous settings. As Mikipedia mentioned, it may be

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse and sky q box

Hi, There are a couple of places where UHD Deep colour needs to be turned on to use 10 bit. Firstly enable it for HDMI 2 on the screen (the port that the sound centre uses to connect to the screen): Home -> Settings -> Picture & Programmes -> Picture (I think it is in the 'Picture' menu, but I'm doing this from memory, so if not check under 'General') Then enable it for the HDMI port that your sky box is connected to on the sound centre (HDMI A/B/C or D) under: Home
