  • Re: Horizontal movement in tangential tonearm?

Hi Mark, There is a small amount of 'swing' in the tonearm, in addition to the lateral movement. The 'swing' operates the small curtain/LDR in the main mechanism which in turn controls the speed of the tangential tracking. From memory the 'swing' is only a few mm on my Beogram 3000, but it's along time since I repaired it. I don't have a manual & would be grateful for a copy if anyone has one? Details of 'my' repair can be found here https://forum.beoworld

  • Re: BV 11 - UK Freeview tuner difficulties

Thanks for your reply Guy, I'm sure you're correct, Freeview have re-arranged the channels & hence the problem. Fortunately I can receive the BBC HD channels no problem, but in our area the HD channels do not broadcast 100pc of the programmes. IE for the news you have to switch back to the SD channel. Since posting I have tried bypassing the Panasonic Freeview & plugging the aerial lead direct to the TV. I can now receive the SD channels, but reception is very poor & blocking

  • BV 11 - UK Freeview tuner difficulties

Dear all, Would anyone be kind enough to offer some advice on the UK Freeview tuner in the BV11 please? Since the changes to Freeview broadcasting took place on 27th July, my BV 11 can no longer receive BBC 1 & 2, and only receive about half of the Radio stations that were available prior to the changes. https://www.freeview.co.uk/tvchanges I have use the 'Reinstall Channels' function several times, but still get the same results with various channels missing. I have taken the advice

  • Re: tangetial arm decks trouble playing some new vinyl

It was a few years ago now, sorry I can't remember... The other item to check would be the stylus pressure, there is a slider on the tonearm. Also, have the transport screws been correctly set?

  • Re: Used Beovision 11-46, looking for opinions please

I'm very pleased to report I received delivery of a BV11-46 MK2 yesterday, happy days indeed! I have decided against purchasing an ML/NL converter at present & am looking into other ways to integrate the television into my existing ML setup (I'll start a separate thread on this subject). The BV11 is a giant leap forward after my trusty BV5, I'm thoroughly enjoying the new levels of connectivity with both the inbuilt sources and Apple TV. Picture & sound quality are an absolute

Thank you for the kind offer Lee, It's not exactly the spec I'm after but I will give your offer some serious consideration. One question, does it include the HDD? Kind regards Julian

Thank you Gents, yes, there are a few used ML/NL converters available & the manual is available online. One dealer told me they are very difficult to setup & require an engineer, is this true? I have read through a couple of long threads on this forum regarding the ML/NL converter. As I intend to only link Audio around my home I understand it would suffice. However I have read of unavoidable audio delay in the system, which would be a big shame....

Thank you all for your very valued input. To summarise; - I need to purchase a NL/ML interface. Whilst this adds to the cost I guess it will future proof my current system for a few years! - HDD preferable but not essential - look for a MK2 or later. I now understand the latest version is a mk4. I do not currently require WISA but I guess it makes sense to source a later model? - I will need four RJ45 to power link adapters to connect my Beolab 8000/6000 surround speakers - I can look forward to
