  • Re: Beosound 4 DAB Radio help.

Hi, I took it to B&O and they replaced the DAB unit and everything works now. The DAB radio would not tune to any station, even with an external aerial connected. Cost of repair £310.

  • Re: Upgrade to Beolab 5.

I upgraded from a couple of pairs of beolab 4000 plus beolab 2 to a pair of beolab 5's, difference is night and day. You certainly don't need the beolab2, just one of the lab5 speakers are more powerful.

  • Re: Gap between production and sale

Not sure if the above post is correct. I purchased a pair of beolab 5's recently, they were are ex demo, 6 years old and I received a three year warranty with with an official certificate.

  • Turntable vibration feedback.

Hi, In my music room I have a pair of beolab 5 speakers, I have a wooden floor and in between the speakers I have a wooden sideboard unit with a technics 1210 mk2 turntable. I get quite a lot of vibration feedback from the beolab 5 speakers, the bass goes straight into the floor, then goes up the wooden furniture to the turntable. Because of this I have stopped using my turntable and reverted to cd's and digital media which obviously doesn't have this problem. I have goggled the issue, what

  • Re: Misleading Sales Part II

Because you brought an ex demo TV, this in my opinion is worse than secondhand as these tv's are on all the time everyday in the dealers, no wonder it had raked up 16,000 hours!!! This TV should of been heavily discounted, I must admit the minuite you found out the usage hours I would of demanded a refund of my deposit then just left the store, driven home, then a very stiff drink!! Do you have your Beolab 11 sub? are you confident it is brand new?? When did they stop making them? As there is

  • Re: Shorten a PL cable

If you have a soldering iron & solder i would cut the cables and join them up. Plus you can get small heat shrink sleeving for the cores, and a larger one for the outer shealth. Use a decorators paint removing hot air gun to shrink it in place. Hope this helps.

  • Re: Misleading Sales Part II

That's a really poor experience you've had from a B&O dealer. It's very worrying that some seem to be happy to mis-lead the customer to extract as much cash as possible for products which are not as described. Is there a crisis with the UK B&O dealers?? are they making so little profit so they are forced into these underhand practices??

Yes, your correct regarding pre owned products on the B&O dealers websites. I think there is a central unit for the Approved Used Bang & Olufsen, and the Pre-owned stuff seem to be for sale in the individual store. The two mis-selling stories we have read recently are stores selling used equipment for brand new, thus charging full price, this, in my opinion is a disgraceful way to get as much money from customers as possible, knowing that most people don't know about the serial number

  • Re: Cleaning Beolab 9

Hi, When i got my Beolab 5's they were slightly dusty from being in the shop for a long time. What i did was to use one of those sicky hand rollers (you get from supermarkets and pound shops) on the cloth frett, and just a dry microfibre cloth for the top metal discs. came up a treat. Hope this helps.
