Re: Powerlink and SPDIF with Beosound9000
Thanks for your message. How do you link the 2 units together? Do you need to change the options on the units (master/slave)?? Interesting that the 9000 only has one aux input so I would keep the 9300. It would be really cool if I could use the CD on the 9300 and still have the record deck and phone audio going to the 9300!!! Thanks

Powerlink and SPDIF with Beosound9000
Hi All, Currently i have a Beocenter 9300 connected to a pair of Beolab 5 using powerlink cables. I'm thinking about replacing the audio unit to a Beosound 9000 and use the digital output. But can anyone answer a few questions- I listen to music from 3 sources, the CD player in the Beocenter 9300, a technies record deck 1210 to a pre-amp then to the Beocenter input, and the third is playing WAV and FLAC files from my phone using a 3.5mm audio plug to the aux socket in the 9300. My question is

Re: Beosound Edge - Reactions?
I'm sorry but looking at the pictures it just looks......boring!!! Loads of great looking speakers like beolab 8000, beolab 4000, more modern ones like beolab 3 and the best of them all Beolab 5. They all look interesting, they ask questions to the person looking at them, but this one......nothing Just a round speaker with cloth end, wow, I wonder how long it took b&o to design this masterpiece. They need to look at their design studio, look at the past successes and WHY they sold in so many

Re: First purchase advice - BeoSound 8000 MK1 or MK2
As you listen to the same type of music as me, bass heavy, I don't think you should by a pair of 8000. I would get a pair of 4000 or 6000 with a beolab 2 sub, that would work better. The pentas are also a good idea and very good value for money. If you get the 8000 then turn them up really high the bass will disappear.

Re: Beolab 5 issue
Just received message from my local B&O dealer, they have been discussing the fault with B&O and they will send a service guy round to replace the Eprom. So good news, fingers crossed it cures the problem.

Re: Beolab 5 issue
Hi, Unfortunately one of my beolab 5 speakers is forgetting the calibration settings, ive had it for 10 months and has forgotten 3 times. The unit flashes green, i need to perform a calibration which it successfully carries out first time, and it carries on as normal, just that this shouldn't happen. The pair are from 2011, the good news is they are still under warranty so i'll email the B&O dealer, but i'd be interested if anyone else is having this kind of problem with there's

Re: Beocenter 9300 / 9500 vs. Beosound 9000
Bear in mind the BS9000 has a digital output which is useful for high end beolab like lab5's. I prefer the BC9000, design classic.

Re: Beolab Penta Mk1 Mk2 Mk3. Why do you love them so much? Please share! Tell your story.
I love the look of the Pentas, last year I was seriously considering purchasing a pair.....but......in my opinion although they are great speakers they are really old, although you can get them reformed etc, they are still old. Luckily for me I was in a position I could purchase a pair of Beolab 5's which were a few years old with 3 years b&o warranty. I must say the lab5's sound soooo very good, just sublime. I've had them for just under 1 year and still everytime I hear them they

Re: Beolab 5 no sound - B&O tech next? Fuse or expensive?
Well if you have tried different cables connected to different sources and still no go then looks like the speaker has a fault. I don't know if there is a easy fix or a way of resetting the speaker, hopefully someone will come with this type of info. Only other option is to take it to a B&O dealer, but this is can be expensive. Hope you get it fixed soon.
