• RCA to PL (powerlink)

Hi, After reading several posts on here and searching other sources of information I still can´t get my head around this. When wanting to run a beolab speaker in line mode via PL (BL12-3 (same as BL8002 i think)) does the signal ground really need to be jumped to the pin7 ("old" PL) or the shell of a RJ45? looking at the picture below [View:https://photos.app.goo.gl/2tKaxAKVXXtWGYa66:800:400] is the jumper from 2 to 7 or the "blue" to the shell of the rj45 just to get any

  • Re: Beomaster 4500 phono/tape 2 bypassing controls

Hi EcceAngelo and welcome to the forum. Have you tried to connect the same cable to the CD input? not sure if the scenario I have in mind would lead to the behaviour you mention, but I'm thinking that it might be that the signal is inputted on the TAPE-out part of the 7-DIN... if that is the case you will not get any sound at all on CD input, but it also means that you are lucky to not have an issue with your 4500, but only need a new cable.
...Sound quality is great - much better than I expected actually. Bass response is very good too, better than the slimmer Beolab models (6000, 8000, 18 etc). It certainly sounded better to my ears than a pair of Beolab 17's. Beolab 3 was closer, but I think the acoustic lens helps that a lot. Hi again, any one else? for example does it support different speaker groups, as a BV where you could use only the center for broadcast while switching to 3.1 or 5.1 for movies. remote control options? (Christophe, no PM option on your page)

  • Re: Upgrade from Beovox 4500 til Beolab 6000 - or is it?

Haven't heard the Beovox 4500, but if you would consider a BL wall speaker, the BL4000 to me sounds much much better than the BL6000 in a equally sized room. Just got a used MK1 pair and love them, no sub needed as I would say the 6000 do require. BR //Goran

  • DeToma X501 Surround processor

Hi, I just stumbled across some info on the DeToma X501. Never heard of it before, even if it seems to be made for exactly what I like to do. So, it seems it is discontinued and that it never sold in Sweden(?) does anyone have experience with the kit? Also, if it is correct that it is German made, what would the typical site be for finding used stuff like this in Germany. I understand eBay is one, but is there a non bidding site for second hand electronics? Thanks in advance

Also since the BS35 apperantly has a 80s display, it will match the CD4500 quite nicely
Have you actually seen the display of the 35? There is not much 80's about that - and it is totally unlike the panel of the CD4500. But yes, both have a display. The display of the 35 is like that of the BeoRemote One. • Re: BeoSound 35

The digital coax of the CD4500 can easely be converted to optical. Thats how my old CD3500 is currently set up with my brothers all in one surround system only accepting HDMI and optical inputs Also since the BS35 apperantly has a 80s display, it will match the CD4500 quite nicely
