• Re: A6 DSP Error Level: Service Error

Reactivating this post. After the most recent firmware updates, this error reappeared a couple of times. Any suggestions how to solve?

I have a bunch of these as a "swiss army knife" solution for lots of problems like this. I originally bought one to use on airplanes with a VERY sensitive pair of in-ear earbuds that I owned about 20 years ago. I then got a second to put between my AirPort Express and a pair of BeoLab
Hi, Another option is to use an external USB sound card (like this one: https://soundsheavenly.com/music-input/17-beomaster-5-beosound-5-aux-usb-input-converter-also-works-as-pcmac-sound-card.html ) to connect the speakers, instead of the headphone socket on the Mac, this will avoid the noise when the Mac goes to sleep. Kind regards, Steve. Steve. www.soundsheavenly.com Sounds Heavenly are proud to sponsor BeoWorld!
Hi Steve Thanks again

  • Humming BL8000’s connected to iMac

Hi folks, As corona obliges me to work from home for the coming weeks, I decided to hook up my BL8000’s to my iMac so that I can enjoy some music while working. I connected the BL’s via line-in to the headphone socket on the iMac. This works fine for playing music. However, when the iMac goes to sleep, the BL’s start humming like crazy. Any suggestions how to solve this?

  • Re: Beolink active + Beo4 + Arduino to control home lights...

This is a cool project! I have a comparable use case in mind: would it be possible to use a B&O IR eye to generate IR signals that can control non-B&O gear?

MM I don’t feel I have to explain the background of my thought experiment any further. I have already given sufficient background earlier in this thread. The point is not whether or not I would have better sound quality. My only question is how I could reuse the B&O IR Eye in a non B&O setup. Believe me, there are several use cases for this. Hence my question. As to your question, my dealer provided me with the right PL cable to connect the Essence to a Passive. A standard PL will not work
First I’d like to ask, what made you think of the BlueSound? Is your Essence a 1st oder 2nd gen? Isn’t the BlueSound mostly managed by the app? You could, if you are not sure, what you want/need, start with connecting the output (fixed) of the BlueSound to the line-in of the Essence. This way you can keep the setup as is and listen to the sources of the BlueSound.....controlling the volume through the Essence, ir-eye, B&O remote. MM There is a tv - and there

  • Use Beolink IR eye to control non B&O stuff?

Hello In my kitchen I have an Essence controlled through IR eye. Here is my (theoretical) question. Suppose I would replace the Essence with a non-B&O streamer such as a Bluesound at a certain moment in time. Would it be possible to continue using the IR Eye? It would require some DIY to convert the electric pulses into IR signals. Anybody has a suggestion how to do this? As I said earlier, it is at this moment just a theoretical ‘thought experiment’ on a rainy Saturday. Nevertheless it would

  • Re: BeoRemote One BT and Essence?

My question goes way back to 2017! Interesting to see that it got picked up after all In the meantime the world has evolved significantly and my initial question was indeed resolved.
May I ask for an easier to set timer? Maybe I'm missing something but right now you have to go through a lot of menus just to set a standby in 20 minutes timer for example ;) Thanks!
Similar question for Alarms. Here is my use case. I have programmed the alarms for every day of the week to wake me up. However on a holiday, or when I am working from home, I want to be able to easily disactivate the alarm for that particular day. In the current setup, activating
