• Re: Projector
I am getting a projector for my setup. I have been looking at the BrnQ W1070+. Anyone tried this? I will be using it in my living room.
One other thing to consider is the screen, and not only the dimensions. Other things to consider are the screen "gain" (how reflective it is) and if it is acoustically transparent. The latter allows the speaker (especially the center) to be located behind the screen thus allowing the voices to appear to come
I know it have been disussed before, but never models are probably on the market. What is a good option to a Beosystem3/4. I would like to change out my BV7 for a non-B&O 4K television. But my setup consists of Beolab speakers, so I am in nead of a surround receiver with rca/phono connections. Are there any good options? And of course price does matter a lot.
It sounds like you're looking for a preamp/processor. (Technically, a receiver consists

  • Re: Do any of you use a machine for cleaning vinyl?

As a serious record listener and restorer, I've found that 91% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and square cotton make-up pads work great. Plus, you can see how much gunk is coming off of the records. I've had some used records in which I had to go over them (6) times per side to get dirt off. Needless to say, I clean all "new" records to my collection before playing them. D

  • Re: Future of CD's will they reach the same status as Vinyl

At the monthly record show near me, records for sale drastically out-number CDs. it's almost like CDs are a worthless afterthought. A record shop owner who frequents the show said that cassettes are coming back and becoming collectable. That boggles my mind. Back in the '80's when they came out, I thought they were a bad idea. It's ironic that the might be coming back. D

  • Re: Center speaker...

I've seen this before, but I read here that this wouldn't work with the BeoLab 5 (according to Geoff Martin). I read that the volume for the BL5 is controlled by one of the wires in the PowerLink cable unlike the other BeoLab speakers. I wrote to AV-Connection to get their input on this but they never wrote back. Can your offer any insight regarding the above setup with the BeoLab 5s? D

I forgot to ask earlier, but what are you using as a preamp/processor? Why aren't you using a B & O source component? D
I just replaced my beloved Denon a1hd with a similar marantz processor. I wanted audyssey to calibrate they system and use specifically their Dynamic EQ which I like. I do bypass the equalization for the BL5 thou. I contacted B&o dealer for the sound processor but I don't think they have anything

It looks like great minds think alike! I have (2) BL5s (front), (2) BL3s (back), and a BL7-4 as the center. These are all connected to an Integra DHC-80.3 via RCA phono jacks. The challenge with the BL7-4 is the need to run a trigger cable from your preamp to the speaker. I was concerned as the Integra trigger voltage is 12 V while I read that the BL7-4 trigger voltage is to be 4.7 V. However, I bought the latter (3) speakers used from
