  • Re: Is the old B&O DNA gone forever?! (Probably a rant)

Hej BeoJeff, I have a feeling there must be another thread on the Essence Remote options that could be brought back to life with specific questions about the options. Maybe you could find that and ask some specific things there, with a starting point in what feels like it is missing from the documents downloadable from BeoIntegration.

DanTop one ”card” is inserted in one of the speakers and that card then connect to the other speakers via cables Exactly. This is the solution for stereo for now. Left/Right pairing over WiFi is currently out of our reach. Thanks for your thoughts on Essence Remote vs. App (and also, once again, for kicking off this thread).

Hej DanTop, correct, and for the more technologically adventurous souls more sources can be added via the Raspberry Pi side of things to give some options beyond Bluetooth. Agree that this is not 'B&O enough' yet. To reach that bar we need to make things much simpler, and this is really just baby steps. Just curious, what would you like to see first, ReCreate'd speakers appearing in the app (not multiroom, just the settings, like a normal Bluetooth speaker) or direct control via an

Hej DanTop, currently BeoCreate speakers don't appear in the Bang & Olufsen app. It would make a lot of sense though and is high on the BeoCreate team's wishlist, however there is a lot of other higher priority things coming to the app first.

The ReCreate project is not about keeping old products alive (there other way to do that more efficiently as you point out) but about evolving them. Keeping their essence but taking advantage of newer technology and making it possible to tap into the explosion of creativity that is happening outside of the mainstream, e.g. by using a Raspberry Pi instead of something locked down by the industry. Yes, some do see what we are proposing as sacrilegious. At the same time we are trying to create an open

Thanks for kicking off a good discussion! Re BeoCreate: actually it was started internally by a tiny young team (interns actually - fans of B&O first and employees second) asking the question 'if Peter & Svend were starting from fresh today, what would they do, what company would they build?' You could say that the BeoCreate 4-Channel Amplifier (out first product) is our 'Eliminator', connecting the speakers people already have to modern technology that makes it easy to use

  • Re: Beosound moment jukebox problem.

This is a hardware issue. Your dealer can resolve for you, but will need to send back to HQ. (I recently had this issue with our personal BeoSound Moment at home).

  • Re: BeoSound Moment & voice control with Google Home

We would need to investigate to answer exactly and even then, the fix would lie elsewhere in the chain. Some Bluetooth implementations only have audio and control, others include text metadata. The ecosystem provider typically includes the text metadata if their device is intended to be app controlled. If they do this following the Bluetooth standards then we can pick it up and show it on our interfaces.

  • Re: The Beosound Moment Beta 2.x thread

Thanks for your feedback about improving our communication. When you discovered the feature via the preview version of the B&O app we were still ‘evaluating the experience’ and had not decided yet whether we would release. However it was immediately very well received (and essentially came for free) so we decided to release even without UI on the Jukebox. As the Moment is discontinued it was decided not to make broader communication. Regarding the DLNA improvements you ask about, we have improvements

On the topic of bedrooms, the Moment has the alarm functionality now too so it can wake you up to the sound of your favorite radio station in the morning. To set it up use the latest version of the Bang & Olufsen App.
