Hi Martin, I'm having the same issue with mine have done this, caps on amp boards and the smoothing capacitors and I still have no sound. I was wondering if there is anything else it could be? When you power up you get a power up noise from the speakers. Kind Regards, Lewis

  • Re: Beomaster 3400 repairs - advice needed

Hi There, Just seen your post on the forum, these are lovely machines one of my Fav's and am a keen collector of these. It's worth saving as I have a few of these and they are wonderful and as they are 4 channel compatible aswell, they sound perfect with 4x S45 speakers. Regarding the getting hot on the fins that means the output stage is being over driven hence getting hot I would Seriously recommend not using it until its repaired as it will go pop and most likely take your speakers out

  • Re: Beovox 1200, left woofer extremely quiet how could i repair it?

Hi There, I have had a similar issue on some old Beovox's from the same time. It maybe the capacitors on the crossover has failed due to age, would be a good idea to change these or it could be the driver itself has gone faulty you could try pressing the cone gently to see if this free's it up as it could be the voice coil has seized. If you feel its hard or resistant it means its the coil seized and maybe easier to replace that one driver. Hopefully its just the capisor's as this is

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 type: 2702 Quad user manual

Hi Peter, Thanks so much for replying, ok in that case I will upgrade the membership and have a look. Yes I do have a Beogram 6000 aswell to go with it they are currently in the middle of having a full service done. The only thing I would like to get is the Beocord 5000 but I know they are hard to come by and a little funny but I think it would be really good to have the whole set. Am also thinking of putting 2 sets of S45's on it as I dont have and P50's although I would love to get some
