  • Beolab 16 sound quality

There is not much I could find about the sound quality of Beolab 15-16 on this forum or elsewhere for that matter. I specially am interested of information about sound quality of Beolab 16 and how it would compare to other B&O sub-woofers , BL2, BL11 and BL19.

Thank you Millemissen for quick reply. It then seems to me that there are other models too. Do you by any chance have information about item/serial number so I can make sure that I get the correct one? And if I may ask another question, wilI be able to controll the essence with a Beotime?

  • Beosound Essence and IR-eye

Hi all, I have a simpe question. Does Beosound Essence require a specific IR-eye (reciever) or would any do (that is if there are differnet ones)?

  • Re: Low-end for beolab 7-4

I like the look of BL 11, however I'm not sure if it would be able to produce enough sound preasure as beolab 7-4's. From what B&O said during the launch of Beolab 7-4, it should be able to produce enought sound preasure, as centre chanel, to match beolab 5's. So the question is how much bas would I need to balance the beolab 7-4?

Thanks for your reply. You are of course right and a live comparison would probably be the best, however as bl2 is discontinued, it would be difficult to arrange a comparison. Unfortunatly I don't think bl11 is powerful enough to fill in the lower end. I have also reviewed few postings, where beolab 2 and 19 has been used witht bl1 and bl18. I have also red few posts on bl2 beeing too boomy and sometimes described as slow. In my setup I'm not using a dsp from a tv but using beosound essence

  • Low end for beolab 7-4

Hi eveyone, I'm using two beolab 7-4 as left and right speakers in a stereo setup (after some rewiering). They sound fantastic and in my opinion much etter than any speaker below beolab 9. The only problem is the low end. I'm using the setup for music only and have no need of disco booms but would like to have a nice and clear bass while listening to jazz music and alike. Since beolab 7-4 are able to push quite alot of sound and ply clear even at high volumes, I will need a good subwoofer
