  • Re: Beolab 4 floor stand cable management

Clearly, if one wants to conceal the all the cabling wires, the Beolab 3 stand with the STB brackets is a better choice. That hollow stand provides a clean look, at least down to the floor, where the cables can be hidden by carpeting, or inside the wall covering treatment ( a false wall for flatscreen, drywall, etc. ).. My wife and I bought a set of Beolab 4 speakkers and two BL 4 stands. The resulting look was somewhat akin to " cables wrapped around a pole, pinched together by a plastic ring

  • Re: Is synced DLNA going to be the replacment for MasterLink

I agree 150 %. I have an Enercon Wobben Wind " Farm " in our neighbourhood, only a few Km away. Quiet, non-obtrusive, productive, and my electrical rates remain stable and at low cost.

No, I read and re-read this thread again. I still can't understand what our friend is trying to say here..

What an extraordinary use of the King's English. Are you a Cambridge graduate, or just attending ? I might suggest a less time on the PS3 and B&O, and a little more in the library.

  • Re: Apple still udged to be a CoolBrand

It is just an English adjective, meaning fun, fresh, interesting, and I will add innovative. I am drawn to both products for the very same reasons, and I agree they are "cool. " Flappo, I had a hunch you might respond to this. I'm glad to hear you are still alive and with us !

  • Re: Connect Beosound 4 to Samsung 3D Led-TV ES8005

Yes, you have a few options. One option is connecting the Samsung headphone jack out to your Beosound 4. That would require a cable connection with a steremini-jack out from the heaphone socket to an RCA Left and Right in, under the Beosound 4. This would be accessed using A.AUX on the Beosound and your choice of Beo remote Another more simple option is RCA left and right out directly to the Beosound 4 RCA left and Right in, accessed as above. You have not mentioned a HTPC in your sound system: If

  • Re: BeoSound3000 CD Clamper not opening?

That is correct. My 3200 clamper went out in 2010, with the same symptoms you described. Not knowing how to replace that item without causing additional morbidity or damage as a consequence, I took it back to B&O where it was sent on for repairs. From what I understand, it can be expected to happen. If you are a Beoworld gold member, you might be able to download the service manual for your BS 3000 and determine if you can perform this yourself.

  • Re: Beomaster 2400-2

Way too loud, alas, given my parents age and hearing loss. When they watch the nightly news (whcih I have run through the Beomaster 2400 system) I politely ask them to turn it down when we are there, or leave I the room. Flatscreen sound out using RCA to an RCA-DIN cabling, and then line in to be amplified through the Beomaster. So loud I heard it swimming one evening well offshore on Lac Léman . The music sound remains clean and clear. Good bass for a non amplified speaker and decent treble

  • Re: Beomaster 2400-2

I started my B&O collecting in 1965. I'm old enough to remember when I bought a Beomaster 2400-2 system as a gift for my parents. This was my third B&O component purchase. My then girlfriend ( now my wife ) and I set up S-45 speakers, the turntable, and the cassette player that came with the Beomaster system. My parents were up in Germany, and we planned this system in a teak wall rack as a surpise Chrsitmas present. They were expectedly stunned. One may forget ( as many of you may not

  • Re: Aux in Beosound 3

No. But on can AUX out using the headphone jack socket. And using local FM radio wherever in the world you are, one can then run a cable to record to SD, TAPE, or possibly CD..
