• Re: Beolab 12 Project

Hi Seanie_230, Before this configuration of speakers I owned a par of BL8000 (MK1) and a BL2. The BL2 was too much present and I found it not the exact speaker for music (too slow, too overwhelming and too much boemboem). Just for movies great, but I listen more to music. Therofore I decided to change the speakers with BL12-3. A great design and sound. Mostly I play (modern)jazz and popmusic and I missed some details. Now with the BL11 the sound is warmer,, goes deeper, and more details from the

Hi, I now have some BL4000-speakers (silver, aluminium) for the back (surround). Great speakers, but for the design and the ALT technology and the sound (not heard them already but the have almost the same specs as the BL12-3) I want to swap them with smaller BL12's. I'm planning (end of the year) to change them with BL12-2 or even the BL12-1 (if this one will ever come). Just a complete and adjusted surround sound system and also very good for speaker-4 playback. Beofan53

  • Re: Beotime - working with Lutron lights?
As far as I can see there is no possibility to turn on the lights when the alarm goes on. You can however turn on the light with the Beotime even when it is connected to the Lutron Rania.
It is possible to turn the lights on (together with the alarm) with the BeoTime. You just do not need a MLCW. Handle like this: - hold and press the menu-button for 10 seconds - then, keep holding/pressing the menu button, and pull/push the sidewaybutton 4 times in and

This is very diappointing Seanie_230! I have played my music, including tracks with some decent basses, rather loud, without distortion. My master is a Beosound4, connected to a BV10. Mostly I play modern jazz and popmusic. Classic for the night. I use the soundsetting to flat ( bass, treblle, loudness). Probably not as loud as you play music. Try it with your BC9300 with flat soundsettings. When you will play music with the 9300 and passive speakers, like the Kef's, then probably you will get
It's not the flat sounds it's the fact that when playing it at any volume the speakers cannot play this music without going into orange state.
I've seen on the photos that you made your own wires. Are these cables correct wired with the RJ45 plug and powerlinkcable? Never had orange lights on the speakers, even on a loud volume. I use the original cables that came with the speakers 3 mtr. One I swapped with an original 5 mtr cable. I will try

The alarmbel of the BeoTime cannot be switched off. One reason is that is "always" awake you, even when the musicsystem does not swtch on or when you did not wake up, by just turning on the lights. Thats how b&o developed this beautiful timepiece!

Ok, this is just an exclusion. The cables seem to be ok. I'm looking for causes that the orange led goes on at any volume. Did you connect the speakers to your Beovision and played the same music and loudness? Just to make sure it is not you Beocenter that causes the problems. Will the orange led goes on on both speakers? I am still looking for a solution ... . . . Till now I cannot reproduce the problem. I will play you tracks later and will see if the same haapens to my speakers. Do not look
Hi there I am using the bang and olufsen supplied pl to rj45 cable from the shop that they ordered from b and o. The cable from speaker to speaker is cat6 stp.
Did you try to connect the beocenter with only the two powerlinkcables from the speakers? Therefore place the beocenter in the middle and try. So, without using your cat6 cable? If this will give the same results, then there should be something else going on. The above is just another exclusion

  • Re: Beolab 12 Project

Use for speakersettings in you beovision bl8000 as front, select no speakers for rear and sub. This should do the job, and this is the advice of b&o. Strange that you just got one powerlinkcable with your new speakers. Mine were delivered with 2 So just ask your dealer and try not to to pay for it. Its part of you bl12,speakerset.
