• Re: Bang & Olufsen App 1.9.9 beta

Great response from BeoCare. It's kinda infuriating and missis the mark greatly. It's time to steer away if you'd need future-thinking in your setup : Thank you very much for your e-mail. We agree that if it comes to operation of a television the BeoRemote exceeds the Bang & Olufsen app. However, when it comes to multiroom, configuring pro ducts etc the Bang & Olugfsen app exceeds the BeorRemote app by many miles - but that was also what it was meant to do. So it really depends
Yes that's what I meant! The interesting thing to me was that whilst airplaying you can keep the 'source' ATV4 speaker output selected, as shown in the screenshot below ('Airplay Dining Room' is my new AirPort Express). Thus you get audio in both rooms.
Was the audio in sync?

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen App 1.9.9 beta

I'm upset about the new app-update, the app in general really. The app crashes (iPhoneX) when swiping trough the TV controls, TV controls are stowed in a sub-menu (??), controls itself are layout in a horrible way ui-wise, missing features like speaker selection and some list functions, many doubtful interface choices like huge photo's of products (icons would suffice) and the list goes on. I'm still loving the Beo4 and One and Essence remotes but app-control is needed at times, this

Can't wait for the release! Wait, are there speaker/sound options? Pray. When is this scheduled?
Speaking of ‘controlling a BV’ with the Bang & Olufsen app, the only two things I miss there for the moment, are 1: the opportunity to change Speaker Groups, when I play back (join in on) an audio source on my BV. 2: (as mentioned before) a seperate ‘Tap to Join’ button in the source list of the BV’s.
Should have been there on the get-go. It’s getting on my nerves that these features are missing.

  • Re: Help with Beolab 7.1 center channel speaker not working

If memory serve’s me right, the beolab 7 range need dedicated trigger voltage to a pin to turn on? They don’t have audio sense.

  • Re: Airplay 2 available today...
On my side, it will be a very simple way to share the Apple TV sound in my whole house, as currently with my BV8-40 there is no solutions that permits to share its sound in multi room while keeping sound on the TV (I don’t have an essence integrated to the TV).
Don't get your hope's up that speakers and apple-tv's are in sync. The delay in processing is not accounted for in the stream protocol so audio is out of sync. No clue if this can be adjusted

  • Re: New app release hits beta

Are there any updates? The progress in the new app is mind-boggeling slow although in the right direction. I’m missing some basic functionality — the app should be as versatile as a beo-remote.

  • Re: After almost 3 years since installation, the device still doesn't work with NAS

It should be possible to make a symbolic link from a sub folder to a USB harddrive. This looks like a normal folder but points to any other location and is indistinguishable for host, windows or software to any other location.

  • Homekit (homebridge) Integration Beoplay and bsys4.

I've been digging into 'homebridge' (Raspberry PI and software that makes devices homekit available) to control non-homekit items. So far i've been able to control volume from the beoplay and essence/core platform trough homekit. I'm now looking if more commands are available. (Using the 'thermostat' accessory i'm able to control volume and also turn the device on/off) I'm also looking forward to get bsys4 controls but did not struck oil yet. (!) Does anyone have
