  • Free for spares or repair - Beocenter 6-26 and Beocenter 2200

Please delete this if not appropriate. I have some old non-working B&O equipment that may be of interest to someone either as a repair project or for spare parts. Beocenter 6-26 - On power up the green light comes on, flashes a few times then goes red. No picture (but I think panel is OK). This is version with DVI connector and built-in UK DTV (Freeview) module. Cosmetic condition very good and all of the rear covers are there. Black with silver aluminium frame and speaker cover. Beocenter 2200

  • Re: iPlayer changes for Freesat users

HI Chris, I saw your separate post about your control problems with the HDR110s. Have you resolved them? And if you did, perhaps you could share which PUC set you are using? I may also go this route but don't want to lose control of the box!

  • iPlayer changes for Freesat users

Viewing iPlayer on my Humax Foxsat HDR last night and got the message that the service will no longer be available on that device from September. Seems BBC is no longer supporting a variety of older Freesat boxes and a few Freeview ones. Full list of affected hardware here

  • Re: Harman buying Bang & Olufsen Automotive audio business

Could be a pretty smart way to get the B&O Play brand better known in the mainstream consumer market.

  • Re: STB Signal too late for Beovision 6

I have a BC6 connected to a Humax Freesat box using an IR-Blaster. That also has a pretty slow start up but presents no problem via the SCART connection. I'm puzzled your TV goes back to standby as on mine it will hold the selected connection (DVD or SAT) indefinitely - you can set the STB to follow the TV but not the other way around. Are there any power saving features on the BV6 you may have missed?

Or use an Airport Express and connect via your wifi network.

  • Humax HDR-1000S Freesat STB and PUC

Hi there, Anyone one out there know if the Humax HDR-1000S Freesat STB is controllable using PUC. I know there are codes for many of the older units but just wondered if this later model has been added or if one of the existing PUC sets works with it. Thanks in advance for any info.

  • Re: Form 2i in Which?

My 23-year old son has a pair - chose them himself with no pressure from me! They seem OK with a very natural sound. He wears them all day when he's working - at a desk - and says they are very comfortable. Not so good in noisy environment though as they are semi-open. I think the Which report is a bit harsh but then I've never really rated their opinions much anyway for anything other than reliability

  • Apple TV3 and BC6-26

Anyone out there know if it's possible to connect an ATV3 to a BC6. It's an HD TV but has no HDMI only DVI and Component. HDFury2 looks like it might allow connection to Component but info on their website seems a bit vague as to whether I'd have HDCP issues. Only asking as I currently have an AE connected for streaming music but need to buy another for a separate room and thought a video option would make more sense on the TV if viable - no way I'm getting rid of the BC6 though!

  • Re: Beosound 3200 and AirPlay

Hey Beogreg, I think you may have had a problem with your AE set up. I use mine on three different systems and volume is the same as other inputs whether I stream from my PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad (usually use iTunes on Mac with lossless and mac quality Spotify from iPad). I just set iDevice/PC output to max and control volume via Beo4.
