  • Re: BeoCentre 3500 Pick-up arm downstroke error

Hello Dave, the only way to have access to these washers is to remove the main aluminium assembly with the turntable. When you remove some screws at the back of the unit you can lift the turntable. The front is held in place with metallic tongues (so slide the assembly backwards) and don't forget to unscrew the power cord of the motor if you want to work comfortably, the assembly is heavy and the edges are sharp. Hello, I've found a very nice 900K on a fleamarket with some intermittent failure. On FM and on all radio bands the sound volume goes down suddenly. When this happens the signal meter indication is ok but the stereo indicator (on FM...) does not light up. Cleaning the Noval socket and the selectors board have solved the problem for a while but I suspect this is not the origin of the problem. The sound is ok on the other inputs, so it's not an amplifier problem. Besides It takes a few seconds

Hello thanks for your reply! In fact Iike the sound of this modest amplifier once you find the best treble/bass position to correct the built-in loudness. It's very dynamic on transients and fairly clean. As it was a fairly basic model I'm just wondering if the phonostage is as good as pricer models. With the 6000 quad it's the Bo sound I like, relaxed but dynamic. I've tried many Bo speakers, and now it sounds very well with DCM 350 timeframe speakers (shame on me)

Hello, i'm quite pleased with a Bo 1400 (a 901 with a cassette deck) but I would like to get a better sound from vinyls. Any advice for a reasonably priced phonostage box? I'm using a retipped MMC 20 En... Philippe

Alas...Anyway they kindly send another belt which should be ok for free...Maybe different versions of this Vortex deck existed? I find the 1400 very interesting by it's simplicity, the cool basic K7 deck, the superb proportions...Form and function, zen attitude, bla bla bla. A pleasure compared to my neurotic Beomaster 6000 quad. I've got to find a bulb which fits the short socket of the green light, and imagine a counter spring device to smooth the lid/eject function:-) Philippe

Problem solved: the new belt is too thick. The grooves on the pulley and flywheel beeing V shaped, the larger section of the new belt is applied on the largest diameter. P

Trouvé:-)....La courroie neuve trouvée sur un site allemand est de longueur exacte mais de section plus large. Le profil de la gouge de la poulie et du volant sont en V, la courroie repose sur la partie la plus large en augmentant le diamètre virtuel...

The tape speed on the cassette deck is too fast. The belt is new and the mechanism clean. Is there any trimmer on the board to adjust the speed? Thanks, Philippe
