    This discussion of changing motor pulleys on turntables causes me to remember what I did in the 1970's: I owned a stereo shop (I was a Bang & Olufsen dealer, but repaired other brands.) I remember a customer coming in the store with a European turntable with a 50Hz motor pulley. A 60Hz pulley was unobtainable. The voltage could be changed to 120 volts but the speed was incorrect. What I did was to take off the platter and while the motor was running, placed a fine file against the pulley
