Re: Swiss Beomaster 8000
Despite me being in the smallest hotel room known to man, all went quite well! Comments included: Beobloke’s system had no right to sound that good, I mean come on its B&O! I think a few perceptions will have been changed there. Adam Beobloke's poky little room with his fab B&O kit. Cor, once again. Beobloke’s system was very enjoyable Beobloke's erm, B & O stuff; gorgeous. Adam really drew the short straw with the pokiest hotel room i've ever seen. Nevertheless

Re: Adaptor for MMC 20 CL Cartridge
I have no connection with the sale, but noticed that there is currently a headshell type MMC20x adaptor on UK eBay for £30. Re: THE BEOWORLD JUNE 2012 PRIZE DRAW
Blimey - I only just re-upgraded my membership to Gold last week. Clearly this is a sign that I must never let it lapse again! Thankyou Lee and everyone else who is involved. I am incredibly excited about the Beocom 5 and it's highly timely as my beautiful Beocom 1000 has been getting quieter and quieter recently - I can barely hear the person at the other end now!

Re: B&O would like our feedback....
Here's my feedback - hire some new designers - your new stuff sucks.
Amen to that. My wife's response to seeing the new Beoplay V1 TV in a B&O shop at the weekend was unrepeatable! I was also able to confirm that the Beolit 12 does indeed look worse in the flesh than it does in pictures... Back to the website - am I being thick in not being able to find them, or have all the telephones vanished?

Strange happening in a B&O shop
My wife and I wandered into B&O of Winchester on Saturday to collect the Powerlink and Masterlink leads I had ordered. Unfortunately, something very odd happened whilst we were inside and now we appear to be the proud owners of a 'second-life' Beovision 7-40 with Beolab 7.4. How the heck did that happen?!

DTV Freeview help on Beovision 7-40
Hi All, Our Beovision 7 that we "accidentally" bought was delivered and set up last week and we're very pleased with it. 99% of the time we'll be using the connected Freesat box but I was having a look at the Freeview built into the unit over the weekend and it doesn't seem to be doing much. When I switch to it, it just about shows a picture on BBC1, but there is no sound and the information bar is present, cannot be removed and the set does not respond to any of the DTV commands

Re: CX100 replacement drives
Personally I agree with Soren and would NEVER re-foam a speaker without shimming it. You'll get away with it more easily on the likes of a CX50/100 driver because of the driver's short travel but try it on the likes of a the 10" sub driver from a pair of MS150s, for example, and it is highly likely to go wrong due to this driver's long travel and very (very!) small magentic gap. As ot the extra time involved in "removing, sourcing and fitting a dust cap" it takes barely

Re: DTV Freeview help on Beovision 7-40
As an update, I sat down over the weekend to make a list of the menu options I did have, in order to discuss the situation with the dealer. Then discovered the damn thing was working fine! It only finds 8 freeview channels and they're all unwatchable due to our low signal but at least it now has all its menus present and correct. After living with it for a couple of weeks, i have to say that it is very smart, a joy to use and looks fantastic. Only one downside really - the picture's still

Re: What's the WORST product in the B&O line-up
I'd be interested in knowing which ones, even if it's not just one. And why, of course.
Off the top of my head: Beolab 2: A booming, thumping abomination that I've always hated! Beolit 12: When I saw it in the flesh I felt sure I could hear a strange noise coming from somewhere. Only later did I realise it was the sound of David Lewis turning in his grave.. Beolab 12: Putting a lump of shiny metal on the front of something is not 'styling'

WANTED: System Cabinet SC80 or SC80-2
Well, the trusty Beosystem 8000 is taking up so much space spread out on different tables I've decided it's time I housed it properly! Consequently, does any one have a spare or unwanted System Cabinet SC80 or SC80-2 please? Thanks! Edit: Nearly forgot, I'm in Hampshire, UK.
