  • Re: Speakers only on B&O Avant?

Press Standby (red dot) + List at the same time. Remote says 'Add?' Press Go. Press List until 'P.Mute' Press Go. Remote says 'Added' Now P.Mute appears in your list! P.Mute (picture mute) turns the picture off on any source and leaves the audio playing.

  • Re: Beovision 5 - 'WAIT' Message

The television has to be connected to power and left for 3 hours before it will request a PIN code. If a button is pressed it will restart the count for another 3 hours. This does not work if the television is disconnected from the mains. Just leave it plugged in overnight and you will be ok in the morning.

  • Re: Beolab Transmitter

A BeoVision TV will 're-direct' sound frequencies depending on which speakers are connected, as it knows which handle the sound better. As BeoLab 5 have 15" Bass drives, they handle bass far better than a subwoofer ever would! So you will find the BeoVision will re-direct the bass to those instead of a subwoofer. I also think it's borderline with BL9 or BL20!

  • Re: Beolab Transmitter

    1) Correct. You would need a AV receiver with pre outs (phono) to connect to the PL inputs on BeoLab Transmitter 1 in order to gain 5.1 - Just think of the BeoLab Transmitter as a way cutting out the PL cable. 2) Yes you can combine both wired and wireless. So wired fronts and wireless rears would make sense in a lot of set-ups. 3) BeoLab Transmitter 1 has 4x PL (RJ45) inputs which all carry 2 channels of sound. (eight channels of wireless sound in total). So if you were to connect only 1 pair of

  • Re: new to beo world

It would actually need to be Ouverture > POWERLINK cable >Beolink Passive>2dinspeaker cables>Beovox CX100 Or else you would need the IR Eye also connected to the BeoLink Passive in order to activate the CX100 speakers. In short, MasterLink is generally used to connect speaker in a different room to the main audio

  • Re: WISA: BeoSound Moment, BL 18, BL 19 + TV via Transmitter 1

Hello, Purchase the new BeoPlay Connection Hub + A BeoLab Transmitter 1. Connect your television to the connection hub using an optical cable and connect the BeoSound Moment using an RJ45 PowerLink cable to the PowerLink Input. Connect the BeoLab Transmitter 1 to the PowerLink Output and register the speakers. Problem solved! You now have wireless speakers that will switch when you use each source. And what's even better is your television remote will control the volume of the speakers when watching

The fact is that Phono connections are transmitting the signal at LINE level. So there will be no audible quality loss. Just the same as using a longer length of PowerLink cable. It's the same signal, just using a different cable and connectors (to also support the amp trigger + data etc). If you were running passive speaker cables, so i.e after the signal has been amplified, then MAYBE you would notice some sound quality loss. But it would still be marginal unless you went over a SERIOUSLY long

  • Re: BV7-40MKIII bug?

Regardless of the function you are trying to activate, the motorized stand menu shows because you have not set limits to the left/right & up/down movement. I would be willing to bet it says 'set right most position' etc instead of the normal motorized stand menu to set positions? Just a guess....

  • Re: S8 connection hub and LG oled

I've been using this exact setup for over a year now. It doesn't work with the magic remote due to the reasons mentioned above. I initially set it up with the volume commands from my Sony Blu-Ray remote, but ultimately looked into a universal remote solution which can control LG TV, Blu-Ray, Connection Hub, Sky Q & Apple TV.... Cuts down on the remotes somewhat!

  • Re: New Turntable from B&O anytime?

It's interesting isn't it. I couldn't agree more - but it's products like BeoSound 9000 & BeoSond Ouverture that put Bang & Olufsen on the map in the first place.... No unique technology to speak of, but the way in which that technology was executed was unique, and quite frankly pretty cool. I could see success in the same concept being applied to a turntable in 2019, but sadly not to a multi room streaming app or television system.... A motorised stand just doesn't seem
