• Re: My B & O system
beosystem3 is basically the brains in your B&O tv. It is a video and surround sound processor where all the inputs and outputs connect to.
That is only partly true. DWP has a Beovision 11, which is based on the Beosystem 4 - Beosystem 3 worked in the previous BV’s, say a BV7. But you are right - this also has all the connections you need and a basic surround processing. MM
Hi MM, You are obviously the on-site resident expert on all things B&O and I thank you for your advice and comments.
Thanks for the roses - but I am not the only ‘ resident expert ’ here……and there certainly are many ‘ things B&O ’, where I am not the expert! On the forum you can have access to a lot (and I mean a lot ) of knowledge about ‘ things B&O ’ - it just depends on how much time you want to
Hi MM, You are obviously the on-site resident expert on all things B&O and I thank you for your advice and comments. When I originally purchased my system it was from a B&O shop in Oxford, it’s no longer there. The guys from the shop struggled to get the system to work properly and had to seek advice from B&O head office. It took a couple of weeks to resolve and they had to install an additional Cisco systems router as well as the existing Sky router

  • Re: integrating audio Beosystem 3, Beolab speakers and Beosound 3200
Overall, this really seemed impossible for months and now its actually done and very much thanks to your kind guidance and taking the time! I cant thank you enough really, everyone (dealers, B&O, sellers etc) i spoke with directed me to a technican but your openness make all the difference
It’s been a joy trying to help you. You are a quick learner and - first of all - you provide immediately feedback here. I have often experienced people asking
the Apple Remote code I have pre installed on the Beosys3 allows me to shut off and turn on the new Apple TV 4k , but i cant navigate through the menu or do anything further with my Beo4, so i resort to using the Apple Remote for now. i suspect the PUC codes need to be updated along with the LG TV codes too, which Ill mail it halfway across the country to the service store - unless you or someone happens to know if I can obtain and install the latest codes myself

I’d be very interested in what ‘the repair guy’ has suggested/promised - please keep us posted. I assume from your initial post, that you want to keep the BS5 in the mix. Also I am curious about why your current setup is ‘complicated’ - seems a rather basic setup to me. As for bas responnse - this won’t change, if you connect the speakers to a Sony tv - if you want more/better bas, you’ll need a subwoofer. MM

Yes, the HD version would have been sufficient - it troubles me though, that you still have these issues after setting the resolution to 1080p. If you do a google search for ‘appletv flickering’, you might get some hints. Also the HDMI ports on the BSys3 are old, there might be a HDCP problem (which can be worked around, if…) You should try another HDMI cable, or even change to the HD version instead of the 4K (if possible). Also turning off the system from the mains for half a

One more thing to concider in a further step: From your first post I understand that you have BL1’s and BL6000’s connected to the system. However, you won’t be able to set these up for multichannel/surround unless you also have a center channel speaker connected/configured. Just in case you are wondering! You can set the two pairs up as ‘double stereo’, but that does not make much sense imo. MM

  • Re: Please Report SPAM here

The user nikki now has had 2 post with what I’d call spam. Resurrecting old threads with an ‘advice’ on a particular sw isn’t what we want to see…..even if it is slightly related to the theme of the thread. Last thread here: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/26559/339382.aspx#339382 What would you think? MM
