• Re: Bang & Olufsen announces preliminary financial results for the...
I completely agree with Jeff above. A B&O TV was perhaps 2-4 times the cost of a good Sony or Panasonic in the 80s and 90s. You paid the price because it was just in reach and the integration, reliability and functionality was worth it. B&O TVs now cost 10 times. By raising prices to Oligarch levels, they lost their working and middle income folk - what a disastrous strategy.
I see a lot of wishful thinking in these responses versus facts that

Where he is entirely wrong is that things are going well. After your earlier post I read the earnings warning again and saw different
They did report slightly higher TV sales yes. Did they also not report a much lower than anticipated demand from dealers to restock? Regardless, few would argue all is well, for reasons well rehearsed.
Keep pumping the doom and gloom. On other threads you were making unsubstantiated claims they were going to exit the TV business. LOL Like any business beholden to the stock market, they are having hard times and much of it plays out in public when you have to

Nothing wrong with products or pricing as they are seeing growth. They have a problem with their channel who are unable and/or unwilling to invest. They need to solve this otherwise growth will stall. They also need to confirm roadmap and commitment to TV business to provide clarity to many on this forum who’ve questioned the future of the business. With that backdrop it’s amazing they are seeing such strong sell through. With stores closing and margins increasing it is obviously an issue that B&O

  • Re: Beolab 19
Has anyone got any personal experience of adding a Beolab 19 to an Eclipse. I eventually want some 18s to compliment it, but in the absence of over £4,000 I’m starting with this. Apart from being wireless, what can it do better than the 2? Beovision Eclipse, Beolit 15, Beoplay A2, H6/H2, Form 2, Beoplay A3, Beovision 5-42 connected to a DVD1
I have that exact setup on an Eclipse, with the 18s as well. I moved from a 2 and precisely as Lee says, the

Definitely not a Mk3 as that had 1080P, a different chassis and HDMI ports. It would likely have been priced higher. Therefore it’s either a 1 or 2.

  • Re: Anything New for 2019?
Will they launch a new TV's this year. I have been told that they will no longer produce TV's after 2020
Ignore the coming out of the tv business. It’s a quarter of their revenue and now much more profitable. Yes to new TVs - larger screens.

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen in 2019... Your predictions?
Now to the 10K B&O TV. Surely this is possible, but it will need to be EXCLUSIVE! Not a re-branded Samsung screen. What Leica, Rolex, Rimowa does is ALL in-house. They do not seek components from outside, simply because there isn't any. Yes Leica played the re-branded Panasonic and whatnot (and still puts their name on smartphone lenses etc... But their core product the M-series is really a hand built camera in Germany. Yes they don't make all of their
