These are sometimes called cable socks, or cable tidys.

  • Re: CD disc drive hub friction problem

Have you considered scuffing the existing Nextel layer up a bit? I would think that glueing a piece of course sand paper to a worthless CD and giving it a very light rotation around once might scuff the material to give it some more life?

  • Re: BEOSOUND 9000 TICKING SOUND WHEN PLAYING CD's

Hi Mike, The last time I checked on those parts I was told they were no longer available. You can access them from the bottom after removing the bottom cover. It would be a little tricky to replace them with the CD mechanism in place, but with some patience it can be done. Given that some CDs play fine, it may also be the clamper arm adjustment that's just a bit off. Have you verified that the clamper is level front to back and left to right? If you look at it from the front it should be level

  • Re: Graphic equalizer on my 5500 Question.

Hi, yes you would use the line in/out jacks that have jumper pins installed. On the EQ you'd also you use line in/out. Remember that in/out is from the perspective of the unit - in on the BM5500 is out on the EQ and so on.

  • Re: BeoSound 9000 Wobbly CD

Hi Fred, sorry to hear you're still having problems. I would have to think that some part of the suspension got out of position when you reassembled the CD mechanism after replacing the laser. The turntable motor may not be level anymore but I doubt that's it. Maybe one of the 4 suspension springs fell out of it's place? Check to see if the mechanism has the same "bounce" on each side and makes sure that the position adjustments screws are facing the correct way for your unit's

  • Re: Beolab 8000 fret fitment

There are 9 or 10 plastic tabs along the edges of the frets. You can see them if use a flashlight. At each one, grab the back of the cabinet (case) with the palm of your hand and then simply squeeze the front edge of the fret straight toward the rear with your thumb until the tab snaps in place. To remove the frets, you do the same move, however, when you have squeezed just enough you can pull the fret back and outward until it's free from the cabinet. It's really quite simple. You start

  • Re: Masterlink Question

The BL2000 does work with both audio and video systems, however slightly differently. Have you tried the TV button? Have you tired using a remote to select TV or DVD? When you connected the BL2000 to the TV were both units unplugged from power? Masterlink products should always be removed from power when making the master link connection, then powered up.

  • Re: Masterlink Question

What happens when you adjust the volume with the volume knob on the BL2000? I once had a masterlink connection problem when using a masterlink cable for the first time in a beosound. When I removed the cable and checked the inside of the socket, there was some dust/lint inside from years of not having anything plugged in.

  • Re: Beosound 9000 remote sequence help please

When there are no speakers connected to the power link socket the BS9000 will default to Option 0, where the remote is ignored. You can set the Option to 1, the sequence depends on your remote. Search for Option Programming and you'll find the sequences. You will need to do this each time you start the unit. Steve at Sounds Heavenly has a special plug that will trick the unit into thinking there are speakers connected which will make life much easier!
