Hi Kjoak, I have a Yamaha RX-V773 receiver which I am still very happy with. It has now gone out of production but I guess you could find its successor. What is important is that the receiver has pre-outs (at least 5.1) and a 12v trigger output (which is required to turn on the speakers). The Yamaha also has "Network standby" which means that it automatically turns on when streamed to (it has in-built airplay). It does not have wifi so you either have to connect a cable or as me an Airport

BeoCenter 6-23 as video master in link setup?

Hi, breaking this question out in a separate thread: I currently have a BC6-23 in my link system (only TV) which I use to watch Satellite TV (STB connected through SCART). I am now planning to add a TV in the laundry room where I have a link connection and was thinking of buying another BC6-23 and use this to watch the same content as on the "main" BC6-23 in our kitchen. However, I heard that it might not be possible to use a BC6-23 as a video master but could not find anything confirming

Which TV do I need as link TV?

Hi, I currently have a BeoCenter 6-23 in my masterlink setup which I have STB connected to to watch digital TV. I would like to add a small TV in the laundry room and connect radio and video over masterlink. What TV should I buy - another BeoCenter or would a BeoVision 6-22 work also? Beocenter 6-23 - STB no picture only sound

hi, all of a sudden the screen went black on our Beocenter 6-23. However, sound is still there and you see the OSD and Beocenter menu also tried switching to another STB which gave the same result. Also tried connecting via the DVI (STB is on scart) but did not get a picture disconnecting from the mains for 30 min did not help either Thus: - the LCD screen is still working - the STB is still working - all other functions, radio etc. Is working it is the main (and only) TV in a masterlink setup. Thanks for the tip but unfortunately it did not help. Tried switching between V.OPT 1 and 2, both with and without masterlink. Also tried disconnecting from mains again from mains again with no luck. Any other ideas?

Alternatives I have is a pair of Beolab 4000s or a Beolab 10. These are clearly superkor in tefms of sound but they are not approved by my wife as center speaker. The Beolab 14 is so small so it would be ok - then again if the sound quality would be to bad then it is not really an option anyway...

Beolab 14 as single centre speaker?

Hi, I got a good deal of a single Beolab 14 speaker and was wondering if it is possible to use it as a centre speaker in a surround sound setup (I have other Beolabs as Front and Back but no Center atm)? Also, if someone has tried this and can give a verdict of the sound quality etc. that would be welcome. Best regards, Riven

Hi, both would fit, but placement would be easier with the BC6. The room is approx 4x4 metres.
