  • Beovision 7 MK111 - new owner issues

Hi Guys Need some help please with a Beovision 32" MK3 which I have just bought. 1st I wanted to update the DVB software but cannot find the USB socket (I can't find the socket as described in the user manual (ie under the push flap next to the satellite card) I also cannot switch off subtitles on some channels, even if you go to DTV setup, then subtitles and switch to no subtitles the titles go off but when you come back to this particular channel they reappear. I'm sure this is just

  • Age Old Issue - BeoV 7/32 MKIII + Apple TV

Ok age old problem how to connect Apple TV to 7/32 MKIII. Has anyone used a HDMI to SCART converter, does it work and do you loose any picture/sound quality. And could you retrofit HDMI to this model TV Also what is the best product you have found to clean the screen glass, 4 year old finger prints are a cleaners nightmare Many thanks all

Yes there is, but is my understanding on the DVI connection correct it only allows pictures not sound and I would have to install an Optical to Analogue converter for sound from the Apple TV. Or would this route give me a better picture and sound quality ? Thanks

So I've ordered a Sounds Heavenly DVi to HDMI converter, a Lindy SPIDIF Digital to Analogue Audio Splitter and high quality leads. I did a lot of research on the HD Fury and it seems you would still have a sound issue so defeats the cost (feel free to correct me on this) Will give an update next week on how it went. Question - Could you upgrade/retrofit HDMi to the BeoV 7/32 MKIII ?

If you can wait a few days I can let you know how I have got on with my BV7/32 MKIII: I've ordered: HDMi/DVi converter from Sounds Heavenly (for the pictures) Lindy SPDIF Digital to Analogue Splitter (to carry the sound) Optical, HDMI & audio cables I do like the look of the STB bracket but may try velco as the splitter & Apple TV box are super light and small. I could of bought a TV a 1/3 of the price that had all teh connections as standard, but where is the fun in that when you have

MIM is right this is not the perfect solution for the perfect brand. Personally I do not watch a huge amount of TV so this solution works well for my appetite, I really wanted Apple TV to access my music, music videos and films that I have on my hard drive and use BBC iPlayer as my catch up. After connecting everything up and spending a little time than I would of thought setting up my Beo4 and Connection menus I must say I am rather impressed with both the picture and sound quality. The game plan

All connected and working now and I must say I am rather impressed with the picture and sound quality when you take into consideration the the cabling and splitters involved. What I like about doing such things and posting on this forum is what you learn, how boring if life was just all plug and go.

Yes no problem. Apple TV has an optical outlet for sound. I have connected this optical outlet via a TOSLINK cable to a LINDY SPDIF splitter (converts digital signal to analogue) and then L & R phono cable from this splitter to the AV4 connection on the TV (if you remove the rear panel that hides the connections their is a legend that shows you the placement of all the connectors). I then went into TV SETUP, then OPTIONS, then CONNECTIONS, then AV4. Set source as PC, leave AUDIO and IR SOCKET

So with think the B&O business model is wrong. Even though I own a number of B&O pieces I don't enjoy going into their shops (it's the same as car showrooms) but I do enjoy popping into to Apple, John Lewis, Waitrose and a number of clothing retail outlets. As someone mentioned B&O are preaching to the converted but I do agree with them having stand alone showrooms so they need to look at ways of relaxing the showroom atmosphere, making it more inviting and as many mentioned embrace

  • Spare room dilemma

Thoughts please. At present my spare/guest room has a Ruark R1 radio which I want to replace with something more stylish, I personally don't think the Beolit 12 would work as a "guest" system but thinking of the Beosound 1 and a few spare connector cables to attach to a smart phone if they want a little more than analogue radio. Anything else that springs to mind at this price point ?
