• Re: Struer Trip 2012
I am planning to go by train (which btw is B&O branded in the 1stclass section) but tickets are going fast now, so I would like / need to make the bookings rather soonish. Don't want to stand for 4 hours :o)
Hi Ferdinand, I'm planning to fly into "Legoland Airport" (ie. Billund) and get the bus to the railway station at Vejle where the main line runs to Struer. Back in my younger days I used to just get on and off trains across Europe
• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

Beoplay V1 ships with the new "joystick" version of Beo4, so this is not a true universal remote. This version of remote is essential to properly set up the TV. Unfortunately, this remote has been re-branded as a "Beoplay" product, with a combination of "Play" and "4" in its name that may have seemed quite amusing to the Marketing team at the time, but which may not appeal to all prospective owners....... The V1 has the ability to upgrade its STB control software
• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter
I'm truly excited by this TV, and if it fulfils the promise re the photos and specs, and 'sensible' pricing, I think it will be the TV that will convince me to finally scratch the B&O itch that has been nagging me for ages, by buying one! I have three queries I hope Steve at Sounds Heavenly may be able to answer, or others who may be more knowledegable than I about the B&O scheme of things. Will it have a digital HD TV tuner suitable for the Australian
• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

What a fantastic TV the V1 is! I had the honour of setting up a 40 inch Beoplay V1 in black for a friend in the trade yesterday and I was really pleased with the new direction of the Beoplay brand in terms of styling, quality and price. Whilst the sound quality at high volume levels may not be quite to the same standard as the old Beovision 8 of the same size, in every other respect the V1 beats its predecessor hands down. The keen pricing means that B&O have effectively outplayed Loewe at their
• Re: Beolab 5 ...extension cord

Hello Maab, Welcome to the forum! Power cords are generally available in a range of lengths up to 10 metres (approx. 35 feet). As King of Snake says, you should always go for a single length of lead instead of using extensions where possible. If you need any help finding suitable cables, please feel free to ask. Kind regards, Steve. www.soundsheavenly.co.uk
• Re: Avant to Beovox 3000 flat panel speakers

Hi Shaun, The Powerlink mk.2 cable connects from one of the Powerlink sockets on the Avant to the Powerlink socket on the Passive (Powerlink mk.1 or mk.3 cables won't work, it must be the fully-wired mk.2 version). You need to check that the Masterlink and Infra-red cables have been unplugged from the Passive, as the Passive will ignore the Powerlink input if a Masterlink connection is present. Once the Powerlink sockets are enabled in the Avant menu (these can be set as any type of Beolab speakers
Ok, so flight booked I'm due to land at Billund at about 10AM on the Monday, anyone driving past at that time? :-) Due to fly back Thursday morning at 6.30AM !!!!!!!!!! :-( So guess I will be hiring a car after all!
Hi, I will also be landing in Billund (from London Stansted) on the Monday morning, so it would be great to meet up. Anyone else planning to travel on the Stansted to Billund flights? I'm booked on the Thursday evening flight back, although
• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

Hi everyone, Just as an aside from the main discussion, this thought may interest you I saw a nice feature on the V1 whilst experimenting with some new cables at one of the B&O stores – when you add external speakers, you can re-assign the TV’s internal speakers to take on different audio channels in the surround sound mix, ie. the left TV speaker can become the centre channel if you have an external front speaker placed to the left of the TV, but you can leave the right TV speaker
• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter
There are two new options in the V1 that may be of interest for this application. The first is a new Speaker Type called "Line". This tells the TV to use a PowerLink channel as a fixed-level Line output instead of the usual volume-regulated signal. The second is the addition of two new Speaker Roles called "Mix Left" and "Mix Right". These will do a down mix of the incoming signals to a two-channel output. The idea behind both of
• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

Hi Stefan, Yes, I know this was spoken about a few days ago....I wanted to wait until I had spoken to Geoff before commenting, hence my delayed reply. I will be investigating all the options and talking to dealers and customers to see what people want to achieve when integrating the V1 into their existing systems, so that I can provide the most helpful solutions. Kind regards, Steve.
