• Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

Here's my current setup in the living room, not sure whether to change the BV11 fret to white or to change the 9's to blue...or black!
If you haven't already, consider downloading the Technical Sound Guide and going through all the options. I was able to optimize several settings, not to mention the ones I had wrong. Plus I learned a lot about the product.
Thanks for that, yes I've thoroughly gone through the BV11's system and it's quite impressive, but still doesn't help, had a long session with them yesterday and still find them so artificial and lacking any depth to

Most enjoyable read, and actually prompted me to purchase the Beolab 9's which arrived yesterday. My initial impressions slightly differ from yours John. Having only listened to these speakers at a B&O store for a very limited amount of time and only really had reviews to go by. My previous speakers were Beolab Penta III's which I have always enjoyed but since upgrading to a BV11 55" they looked quite imposing next to the TV, so the 9's seemed like a natural progression. Now

That's great Jonahan. I own 2 watch shops in Sydney & Brisbane that sell new and pre owned and selling vintage gear is absolutely more fun, always thought about diversifying into B&O gear though, good luck to you!
OMG. We have the same problem. I was intending to get the Beolab1s though.. Since I thought it is prettier.
Imposing you mean? I find they dominate the room...in a good way though!

  • Your confusing VAT!

Ok, I thought Australian taxation was a mess but I'm a little confused with the UK's VAT ! I'm currently wishing to purchase a pair of second hand Beolab 9's from a dealer in the UK and wish to import them to Australia. Am I correct in saying that since he is registered for VAT the item is inclusive of the tax and I would be excluded from paying this tax? This company is saying it is not reclaimable on second hand goods? Some help would be appreciated here, what looked like a good
