  • Re: BeoCenter 9000 CD issue

Hi Graham, Thank you for the suggestion to replace C2103. As you know long distance diagnosis is difficult at best, so I thought a bit of additional information might be useful. This 9000 was left at a recycling station and did not have the transport screw engaged as the unit was regarded as trash. As such I imagine it was tossed about a bit before coming to me. Being a fan of British cars I am prone to “tinker” with my aging collection of B&O products. While I know Danish electronics

  • BeoCenter 9000 CD issue

My latest addition to my B&O "family" appears to have an issue I have never encountered with a CD player, that is it plays most CD's flawlessly and other it does not play at all. The CD's in question are not damaged and play well on my Beogram CDX and Beogram 4500. Any idea what might be causing this issue? Jeff

Many parts are available through B&O. I found my belt set there with no touble. As to doing the work yourself, the short answer is NOT unless you have the patience of Job. I have worked on my Beogram 4000, 4002, 4004, and 8000 and they are difficult to work on. Ditto my Beocord 8004.... but when it gets really technical I have needed to send my B&O products to Martin, who is amazing. If you DO attempt to work on a 9000 one little tip, the adhesive strips used to hold the glass panels in place

  • BeoCenter 9000

I was just gifted with a cosmetically flawless BeoCenter 9000 with belt isues. Opening this BeoCenter I noticed a box, for lack of a better description wrapped in copper wine in the back right-hand corner that was covered in rust. What is this and is the rust an issue? I would also like to know what members think of this series, the BeoCenter.... and the 9000 in particular. Jeff
