  • Beocord 5000 (Type 4922)

Hi all, Just a quick question, the belts are a horrible mess on my Beocord 5000 (Type 4922) and blown the 10 ꭥ resisitor/fuse (R20), could this resistor fuse also be responsible for the failure of the drawer motor ? Or is this likely to be a seperate issue ? Tim

Hi, Did you ever get this issue resolved ? I had the same problem but I did get there eventually - let me know if you're still puzzled. Tim

  • Beocentre 8000 belt replacement

I need to do a belt change on my Beocentre 8000 cassette mechanism - it's starting to sound dreadful, I don't know what version I have but I've extracted the mechanism and I can see three belts, 2 very easy to change and one wider belt inside. It looks like I need to remove the bottom plate to begin (same side as the motor pulley), but has anyone got any hints or tips before I start ?

  • CDX-2 Reassembly

Help ! I've recently done a belt change and LED display change on my CDX-2 - I've not had experience with this machine before and ended up taking it apart far more than I needed (hindesight is a wonderful thing !), in doing so some of the wires that connect around the chassis came adrift, I broke rule No1 - I didn't make notes where cables should reconnect ! Basically I just need to know about the single wire that connects to the lid motor board - (it's next to the only electrolytic

  • CDX-2

My Beogram CDX-2 has recently started to play-up, the lid needs a little manual help to open and one of the segments of the LCD (status) display has ceased to work, so it's time to address these issues. After much head scratching (B&O are very crafty in the construction of these machines !) I've finally got to the belt on the lid motor (about to order a new belt from Martin - but the other problem is for the techies here. A simple question, is the LCD dispaly soldered in place on the

In case anyone read this with interest, the cap and fuse were replaced and all is OK - sounds beautiful, the Beomaster will live a bit longer !

  • Beomaster 2000 (2912) - blown cap and fuse

I recently aquired various vintage B&O items, all non-working. So far some good results, but I've started on a Beomaster 2000 (type 2912), cosmetically beautiful and worth spending time on but it's totally dead ! I've taken it apart and found a 'blown' capacitor and fuse, they are both on board 2, C7 (2200uF 40V a large(ish) capacitor), and F1 (T-2A). I feel confident about replacing these components, but my concern is, are these failures likely to have caused complicated
