  • WiSA SoundSend Review (using with Beolab 20)

Hi, I wanted to share my disappointing experience with my newly purchased WiSA SoundSend transmitter. Background: I'm currently using a pair of BL20s as a 2.0 system with a non-B&O TV. In order to establish a wireless connection, I was previously using a Transmitter 1 connected to a Celadon USB IR Receiver (RCV3000) for volume control - no Core needed. However, the TL1+IR receiver could not decode Dolby Digital/Atmos. It was this reason that prompted my purchase of the SoundSend since it

  • Re: Beolab 18 hissing

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it. Do I need to make any changes to the network settings within the Configure Menu of the B&O Core App? The network is currently assigned to my WiFI. By inserting a Lan cable, will the App automatically disregard the WiFi signal and route via Lan instead?

  • BL 18/19 to Samsung TV - Works w/No Core

Hi, I currently have 18s/19 connected to a BL Transmitter 1 via the L/R inputs using a phono to powerlink cable. The powerlink end is connected to the powerlink port of the Core. Rather than using an optical cable from the Core to the TV, I have bypassed the Core (and powerlink/phono cable) by connecting the optical cable from the TV directly into the optical port on the BL Transmitter. It works but I am unable to control the volume. Any thoughts on how to control the volume level? Those who promote

  • Beolab 18 hissing

My Beolab 18s are connected via Transmitter 1/Core. They make a hissing sound with or without music. I have read that this is due to the transmitter 1 pushing excess gain to the speakers. Would I experience the same issue if I were to swap the Transmitter 1 with the Axiim link?

Sorry, what I wrote was incorrect. My Beolab 18s/19 have been configured wirelessly to the BL Transmitter 1. I have the phono cables connected to the L/R inputs on the Transmitter 1, running to the Core's Powerlink port. However, I have found that I can remove the Core altogether and run an optical cable from the Transmitter to my TV, and it produces sound, but I am unable to control it. I hope that clears things up.

  • Beolab Transmitter to non-B&O TV via Ethernet?

Hello, I purchased Beolab 18s, 19s, Core, and Transmitter 1. I want to connect the speakers to a non-B&O TV. Here is my current situation: Cables I have: 1. Powerlink to Powerlink cable (side question: is this the same as an ethernet cable? aka RJ45? I'm trying to understand the difference). 2. Powerlink to 2 phono cables (at least I think they're called phono). Transmitter 1 Situation: - I have successfully paired and assigned the 18s to PL1 (Left and right) and 19 to PL2 (left) - Currently

I believe so. I have added the attachment onto the end of the optical cable that is to be inserted into the Core. I have plugged the cable into the Optical/Line-in. I have check marked "optical" and "line in" on the app, but nothing happens.

I have an extra "powerlink to powerlink" cable, so I will try swapping it with the current "power link to phono" cable to see if it makes a difference.
