  • Beocenter 8000 no radio

Hi Guys Hoping you may be able to help out with this problem. Recently I purchased said item with known fault that tape didnt work and door jammed in open position and the inevitable rebonding of glass panels these are now resolved after a total strip and I mean a total strip and clean internally all PCB's removed/refitted. Any way to the point of this plea, I have working CD, working Tape "albeit a bit slow and fluttery" all functions appear normal on control and display panels with

  • Re: Beovision 8 - IR electrosmog?

Hi I am not sure if this will help you or not but I have a BV8-32 which is set up with a humax box via a IR Blaster lead. initially it would sort of work with what could only be described as Hit and miss response to the remote, I could change channels with the arrows but not by the keypad numbers on the beo4 It was all due to the humax screen resolution being set on 1080i as a default. Go to your settings on your foxtel config and see if it's poss to adjust the screen resolution to 720p, this

  • Re: Beosound 9000 cleaning

Hi its by no means a permanent fix but as a pointer your laser probably isnt focusing too well, if you have a cotton bud to hand you need to dip it in some alcohol then squeeze of the excess from the tip, open the lid select a empty CD slot. Slide the cotton bud in from THE RH side "as viewed from front" directly underneath the clamper if you look at eye level from the RH side you will actually see the LT Blue lense about 6mm dia thats what youre aiming for just be gentle and switch off

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 Socket Unit replacement

Hi I wouldnt be too disapointed about not getting the BC2 head unit, "MUGGINS HERE BROUGHT IT"!! and am I having problems getting it matched to the socket unit, my local B&O store Norwich is attempting to sort out the firmware cable but it will incure quite a bit of expense, The BC2 when you select Disc reads " starting up please wait" then it wont play. Even after I have replaced the laser mech! So youre probably the winner in the long run. :-) but when I get it sorted it

  • I'm Confused!!!

Hi All Very recently I visited my local B&O in Norwich to DROOL over the new Beovision 11 what a beautiful piece of kit it is IMHO. Whilst there I studued Beolab 12" WALL MOUNTED" speakers? I raised the question about what the stands for free mounting would look like, as that they are to be BL8002 replacements." Oh the BL12 are only to be wall mounted" was the reply, my question is why when I go to the B&O website I see on the SOUND/LOUDSPEAKERS tab a 4 speaker setup comprising

  • No DVB-T on BV8

Hi Can anyone advise on this, I have in the past viewed Freeview via DVB-T module in my BV8. after completely reconfiguring the front room I thought about having the DVB available again on AV4 as a alternative to freesat ON AV1 V/AUX(STB) however after reconnecting coax and antefereance box the display comes on with "No signal check connections" I have been through the setup and reinstall to do a retune which is carried out and no channels found "Playlist empty" does it require

  • Ouverture query

Hi everyone I have just aquired a beosound ouverture that I am currently restoring, I have noticed a unusual "quirk" the cd player it plays well enough with play, track fwd skip, repeat, random, etc all working as they should. The Quirky aspect is that the CD Lens will often park midpoint up the length of the travel its the small clamper version and is a CDM 12, if when i remove the disc and press CD it will park in the normal point "fully to the hub. Any help please.

  • Re: Beovision Avant power failure

Hi John Firstly Check your plug fuse, I know this may sound obvious. Then is there the red standby light? When you press a command eg TV, VAUX, etc is there any responce from the set display eg does the red led turn to green for a brief moment or does it just stay red? Regards Maurice

  • Beocenter 1 Distorted Picture

Hi beo guys and gals I have recently been given a BC1 with the following problem. The set starts up with a beautiful sound & picture on either stb or the built in DVD, however on any picture input it has a pinching in of the picture at the top and bottom both sides eg slight horizontal symmetrical contraction and in the mid hight a pronounced inward curvature. The fault happens if I gently tap the contrast screen and if i even touch the gegauss cable. I have tried to induce the fault by gentle
