Interesse? Cheers, Joeri

  • Re: Beolab 17 & 19 connected to BeoSound core and Avant

One option would be to let go of the wireless connections. With the BL20, you can connect the TV through PowerLink en the Core though optical. The PowerLink connection is higher in the hierarchy than the optical connection, so if you play music through the Core, the TV cannot be set to speaker 2 or 4, only to 1 (so the extra speakers aren't used). When you select speaker 2 or 4 on the Avant, all speakers will be used by the Avant. I can only assume this goes for the 17 en 19 as well. But you'll

  • Re: WiSA 5.1 recommendation for center channel

I've got two BL20's as fronts and two BL4000's as rears. No sub, but who needs one when the BL20's do the thumping ;-). And no center channel yet, but I have a BL7.1 lying around to serve as one, once my STB bracket arrives. I'm actually not 100% if the center channel adds a lot with the acoustic lens equiped fronts (which you have as well, if I'm not mistaken). The AL seems to do a fantastic job in creating a phantom center channel. But I'm going to give it a try anyway

  • Re: Is buying B&O today a sound investment?

I don't think they went out on a high. The design of the Eclipse destroys the watching IMHO; since the speaker is directly below the screen, the aluminium speaker front distracts too much from the screen. It's one of the reasons I recently went for the LG OLED. Visually, it matches my BL20's perfectly. And it doesn't have the distractions the Eclipse has. Oh, and the price isn't ridiculous, either ;-).

  • Re: Dolby Digital with non-B&O television: how?

I promised to get back here when I installed everything. I haven't installed everything yet (I'm still waiting for a wall mount for the center speaker and for a cable for the surrounds), but the BL20's are connected to the Almando and so are the LG OLED and the BS3000. And everything works just as I expected it to work. So in that regard, I'm happy. But, currently I would not recommend the Almando as your music solution. There's noticable more static noise coming out of the BL20's

  • Re: Beovision 7 vs Modern Sony et al

Well, I just replaced my 2006 BV7-32 with an LG OLED tv, and the difference is night and day. The BV7 doesn't even come close. Maybe the newer BV7's that support 1080p would be better and the difference would be smaller, but television tech has really advanced the last years.

  • Re: Beosound Core status lights?

Thanks, but no, that's not it. E.g. it doesn't mention the solid yellow/orange light, which I've seen once too often. The above doc is about the amplifier, not the Core.

  • Beosound Core status lights?

Hello, I have not been able to find the answer in the manual, so I'll ask here: does anybody know what the different status lights on the Core mean? So far, I've: White White flashing Orange Orange flashing Any help appreciated!

  • Re: Dolby Digital with non-B&O television: how?

To give an update on my quest. After more searching I've found the Almando Multiplay Surround decoder (https://almando.com/index.php/b-o/bo-surround/almando-multiplay-surround-decoder.html) and that's what I'm going to give a try. The Almando connects to the LG through HDMI ARC. All speakers connect to it directly through PowerLink (yay!), so I'll have the BL7.1 as a center (on an STB bracket which I ordered today), 2 BL20's as fronts and 2 BL4000's as rears, all connected
