Thanks MM All makes sense. At the moment I'm just using an Apple TV to stream my music but would like a simpler way and also play my Flac files. I have a BS 9000 but it is masterlinked to the BV 7

Re: Digital network player
Thanks again guys @ Doubleu.....yes I don't mind navigating on the TV however it's not priority. I would prefer sound over vision @ butch..... The linn I'm sure is fantastic and if money was no object it would be the first pick. In Australia they retail for around $4500. That's getting up there for a player though. I'd have to hide the receipt from the wife ;) The more I read about the Oppo, it really does appear to be the all rounder. Can anyone advise how the steaming or audio

Re: Digital network player
Thanks a lot for all your answers. @ wonderfulelectric......From what i've have been reading, the Oppo Blue ray player looks perfect for what i'm chasing. Have yourself or anybody had any experience using one for streaming/digital music? @ Millemissen.....thanks for your in depth response. Digital network player
Hi fellow beofans At present I listen to a lot of digital music through Apple TV from my computer. I have a BV 7-40 with BL 5's as mains. I did read a previous post talking about better network players for sound reproduction than Apple TV. Some players mentioned were Linn. I also know NAD have a similar product. I figure with such great mains I should give them the best digital input ie 24 bit sound My question is " what is the best network player for music reproduction"? and would

Re: Beolab 5 tricks?
Thanks for the responses guys. I was always under the impression the the BL 5's had to be powerlinked while the calibration was going. I've since found this out not to be the case. I'm going to a new calibration in the middle of my empty garage which hopefully will improve the bass response. Will let you know how it goes. Have a merry Xmas all. Cheers

Beolab 5 tricks?
Hi fellow Beoworlders I'm probably going to open an old thread here however i think i'll add another spin. I know there was numerous discussions on this however i can't seem to find them on the old posts. I'm the proud owner of a set of Beolab 5's attached to a BV 7-40 and hooked up with powerlink cables. The BL5's replaced my 8000/BL2 combo. Over the weekend i gave the old combo a run as i hadn't used them in a while. I was blown away with how good they sounded. Especially
