• Re: Beolab 50 is so unstable with me...

Pathetic indeed. Guess it is time for me personally to completely give up on B&O.

The market seems to be so brutal that even Apple is apparently abandoning their AppleTV.
It is not exclusive for Samsung either, LG, Vizio, Sony etc has already promised support and more will certainly come.
My point is not the AirPlay 2 possibility -- my point is Samsung (exclusively) offering an iTunes Movies and TV Shows app , apparently programmed by Apple, which includes access to the iTunes Store as well as access

@moxxey you are right, only (!) Samsung is getting to use that special app for iTunes video. It is quite another "hell froze over" moment for Apple fans... ;-) (remember iTunes for PC?). So it is indeed good to have Apple TV for the foreseeable future for other (and older than 2019!) TV (do not count on it for long, though!). However, good to hear that other brands at least get the AirPlay video streaming. I can't wait to hear prices for the rollable LG OLED, that would definitely be

  • Samsung 2019 TV's support AirPlay 2 and iTunes...

Pretty interesting: https://news.samsung.com/us/samsung-smart-tvs-launch-itunes-movies-tv-shows-support-airplay-2-spring-2019/ The market seems to be so brutal that even Apple is apparently abandoning their AppleTV. Sadly, it seems like this will be exclusively on Samsung for the time being...

  • Re: BEOVISION ECLIPSE

I am _actually_ kind of relieved. For many years now, I have had this obsession with B&O due to their design and philosophy -- and with the LG partnership and the outcome of that, I do feel the B&O-DNA has been completely lost at last (with the Avant still having a certain style). This is not to say the Eclipse may not be a great TV, it may very well be - but so are many other options. Lee got out just at the right time. Will look into Sony and Loewe now (since my Beovision 9 is starting

  • Re: LifeStyle AV - Now Closed

Lee, very sad about this - wishing you and your team all the best from Vienna! I have here my lovely Beovision 9, my Beolabs 5, Beosound 9000 and quite a bit more B&O stuff, all thanks to you (and all of this still working great after many years). There are only a very few shops that had the same level of customer support, and every sale was a reminder of your great style and the bond of trust that you built. A big thanks to Matt as well. Will be looking into Loewe, since B&O indeed lost

  • Re: B&O Play : How do you think it's going?

Well, in my field there is an example worth mentioning: The Gold Standard of great pianos big and small is Steinway, the piano manufacturer with factories in New York and Hamburg (and it is an open secret that the pianos manufactured in Hamburg are the "real" deal and better than most New York Steinways). Anyway, Steinway also sells - through their dealerships in the same showrooms - "Steinway-designed" Boston Pianos. "Long unrivaled in its class and unmatched in value"

  • Re: Buy....Praise........Condemn......

Well, just last night I spent more than 2 hours listening to music on my BeoLabs 5 (bought through Lee a few years ago), with a renewed sense of delight. What fantastic speakers they are, indeed! I should actually get another pair. So I am sure I will ALWAYS cherish them, as long as I do not give in buying the BeoLab 90... ;) With the newer stuff - not so much... It is not build to last. Take my BeoPlay 8 (w/ Airplay) for example: the other day, I tried to buy an adaptor for my iPhone 6: it is not

  • Re: Connecting Beosound 35 to Beovision 9?

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond, mjmedlo! Yes, that indeed would be one solution - but to be absolutely honest, in my eyes (and that is only my personal feeling, mind you) the 17s are one of the worst designs of B&O speakers, so in my case this will not be a solution, sadly. As for my aging BV9, I think there will not be a "perfect" solution after all, because in a year or so, I plan on switching to the Avant (or the updated version), so I do not want to spend too

  • Connecting Beosound 35 to Beovision 9?

Hi all, since apparently there is no way to connect a Sonos Playbar to my trusted (and still fantastic) Beovision 9, I am wondering about alternatives - would a Beosound 35 be an option, and can I connect it somehow to my Beovision 9? Does anyone have opinions about the Beosound 35, is it a good idea to connect it to a TV? I do not want to connect my Beolab5's to BV9 anymore, because I use them in a different room now, so I need an alternative in order to get good sound from my Beovision 9. Help
