  • Re: avant tv ng 55 inch

I suppose you both tried the power reset. Holding the power button on the remote for up to 60secs. Like a cold boot. Then let the TV start and do it’s own thing for a while? Beoaus

  • beovision Avant 75 old and difference with New Generation

Hi, Just my thoughts in addition to the other posts. The Avant NG has an old version of Android, Yes needs a cold boot occasionally and has its quirks. It does work quite well, has 4K over all HDMI ports (we use), handles sound processing better and links with ML reasonably well. The Avant MK1 has a modified Beosystem 4 inside which now has its hardware problems due to the 4K modification. As does the panel, both are expensive to fix. Shame that the beosystem 4 with 4K was not continued elsewhere

  • Avant 55 NG and BS9000 in the same room but no BS9000 sound goes thru the Avant's speakers

Hi All. This could be a tricky problem. Until recently the configuration below worked. Let me define what worked means…. From any room I could select CD or Radio and the BS9000 would pipe sound thru any Masterlink or Network linked system (via the BLC), into the local speakers, whether they were connected to a TV or not. It still does with main one exception. That is the entertainment room. In that room from about a month ago……When I start the BS9000 by selecting CD from the

Perhaps pickup a digital/optical audio switcher from Amazon. Good luck Beoaus

  • Re: Beolink coverter Networklink Masterlink

Hi Steve77, hang in there. Some brief thoughts, if you are still stuck. For the Moment being in the same room as the BV5. Perhaps the BLC needs to be set as an Audio Master, then using Option 0 as the ML Option, that I believe turns the speakers off in the local room and should allow for the Moment to play through the ML linked BV5...That is if the BV5 is set to see a ML Audio Master in the same room. Note that also the Moment may also need its speaker cover removed and a switch triggered in Speaker

  • Re: Setting up an NL/ML network with Avant 55 without hardwiring internet...

Hi, In all cases you will need to attach the switch to a router and the internet. For the BLC to work the BLC registers all connected devices to the internet. The Avant LAN port is prioritised over WiFi. I discovered the Avant has a 100Mb LAN port and I actually found WiFi to be the better connection. I do have an enterprise grade WiFi at home though. Separately, perhaps update your TV and apps for a better experience. Good luck Beoaus.

  • Re: Was there planed for 4 audio channels in ML originally?

As I understand it. ML was designed to allow for multiple audio masters. Allowing for CD in one room from a CD Master and say Radio from another via a Radio Master. There was also some other complexities to ML including video as well. Ultimately as it was explained to me B&O felt that the technology would be impossible to explain reliably to customers. So a simpler version of ML was released. The tech also acknowledged that as ML was rolled out that there was only a small percentage of installations

  • Re: Are Beolab 1s worth considering?

I have the BL1's and a BL2. Sound is impressive both for movies and music, very powerful. With movies a BV7 and 7-4 do add some dimension. All have been in use since they were released. I did listen to the BL9's and thought they were not capable of the depth of sound I already had. I suppose, the treble was to me was either brighter or harsher in comparison. I maintain this viewpoint as over the years I have listened to more BV7's combined with BL9's than anything else. Good luck
