    Interesting information, I wonder if the HD Scaler/board in the BV7 also routes (YPbPr) through it like the DVI port? I was informed that the HD board bypassed all picture processing on the earlier BV7's and was only enabled by the HD command in the source Menu. Can you select HD in the Source Menu for both? I don't have HDMI to (YPbPr) equipment to test? Thanks Beoaus.

    Did you try to turn everything off and then on again? A friend has a complex, MCL, ML and NL system. On Christmas Eve years ago it all went haywire. Most of the converters were inaccessible in roof cavities. As a last resort I suggested he turn off the circuit breakers and then bring them back on and wait 20 mins. It worked !!     If you can't use the old cable as a draw wire for Steve's cable, then perhaps look through Peter Pans many posts. He has graphics on cable configs. Good luck. beoaus.

    Hi The Android platform on the Horizon has not been updated with the times. Some Android apps no longer support legacy Android TV versions. I believe the BBC app does work (UK fenced here ), not the Nordvpn 2018 though, which needs 6.0.1 or above. Perhaps an earlier edition is worth searching for. Beoaus.

    It is possible that re seating a connector or two may help. These connectors are inside the panel which on an Avant makes it harder. This is a link I have just found that may or may not be relevant. Good luck.

    Ok, the BeoSystem 4 version. The Beovision Avant is based but not exactly the same as BSys4. This reset process is straight from the Beosystem 4. You may be lucky. Otherwise, In your version some changes relate to its 4K capability. Its likely you need a call to service to reset this properly including all its capable resolutions. I believe also that there is a video test mode that can be invoked or a manual test procedure to help. Both maybe of assistance. Good luck, Beoaus.

    Hi Michael, Is this the Android Avant? If so I have a reset process in a thread about the Horizon that may assist. It will involve disconnecting all external cables other than the speakers. I can’t search for it now, being on the balcony in the sun with a red... sorry. Beoaus.

    Hi, You can call ahead and ask a major USA service centre for a price on the following: 2x backup suitcases for Beolab 1 Type 6843 (USA 120V Part 3395146). They may even have some spares from a process completed previously. Or ask a service centre in Sweden if they have some spares as well from the reverse process. Many years ago the Australian service in Camberwell used to provide a similar service for those from the USA which was about AU$400. Good luck Beoaus.
