• Re: Beovision Avant 75 MK1 / MK2

I’ve got the Avant 75 NG and the software has stabilized. Mine has been solid for the past year+ and we’ve really enjoyed it.

  • American Airlines using H9i

I just came across this, but it's from last year. American Airlines is replacing their Bose headsets in premium cabins with B&O H9i's. Exciting for me as an Exec Platinum... https://apex.aero/2018/09/24/american-airlines-food-headset-partnerships-apex-expo

  • Re: A pleasant pondering...

I’ve got an Avant NG, and while I know there were lots of issues with software at launch, I’ve had no issues since I bought mine a year ago (just after the big software update). It works great in a multi room scenario, and I’ve got it connected to a core. Picture and sound are great. Not sure why everyone still says to avoid it. I suppose the main reason the android OS doesn’t bother me is I have an AppleTv connected that provides every app I need.

  • Re: Beolab 19

I’d agree with the comparison. My Beolab 2 rumbles and shakes the room (with BL8000’s powered by a BS3). I’ve got a 19 in another room with 18’s and the Avant, and it is more subtle. Still can move the room, but less “obvious”. Hard to explain, but the 2 I had to turn down in the settings and the 19 I turned up a notch. Wireless is a nice bonus.
There are many, many people with no store locally any more. No stores = No brand recognition No brand recognition = No demand No demand = More store closures It's a tailspin.
Actually, I think they are getting lots of brand recognition through their HP and Automotive collaborations. Half my colleagues or clients have B&O sound on their computers or in their Audi’s, etc. I see at least one other person with B&O headphones on each flight I take, and

  • Re: Get an M3 when you buy a multi-room speaker

That would have been a nice addition when I got my BS2. I highly recommend the BS2, by the way - it’s the most used item in our system, and always surprises guests with its look and sound.

  • Re: Beosound Edge - Reactions?

First reaction - it’s not immediately clear what it is when you see it. It’s intriguing. I’m not sure how it’s going to work, and I think that may be the reason why it works. It seems too simple. Which brings me to my second reaction. It’s similar to my Beosound 2. People don’t know what it is, but they find it interesting. And the sound is impressive. That’s a good combo. The discussion about “proper stereo” got me thinking about my setup. I’ve got two rooms with nice setups - Beolab 8000s and a

  • Re: Beovision 14 the end of Bang Olufsen Tv
If that kind of thing floats your boat, fair enough. You've bought the right TV. If people came around my house and commented on the Avant speaker mechanism (I can't remember anyone doing that when I owned it...) I'd think they were mad. But, there again, people do have a bad habit of telling you what you w ant to hear.
You’d be happy to hear this. We invited some family friends over for dinner this weekend and a kind pensioner said the BL18’s
And for anyone who says they 'enjoy' watching the daft mechanised speaker drop down from the Avant? wow. Not only did I think that mostly pointless, noisy and boring after a while, there were so many other issues, this just made me more frustrated.
Sorry you have such passion against the type of interesting movement / interaction so many people find lacking from today’s products. Good thing you ditched it. In fact, of all the people that have come
Very happy with the Tv ? no bugs, crashes, outdated Android Tv ?
I bought it in January after it seems the software had stabilized. I think it has restarted twice in 7 months, which is better than my iPhone ;) I don’t use the Android menu much since initial setup, so that has not been an issue. It starts up, I can select my sound mode via remote, and join the multiroom setup with ease. I have the BL18’s and BL19 through WISA and they work like a charm. Now,
