Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!
Well, as suggested by someone earlier in this thread, I pulled the shelves etc out of my bureau to make a home for my new Beogram 3000. It seems like it needs some servicing as well as the cartridge retip, but it sure looks cool!

Re: Help me trouble shoot my Beogram 3000
It does seem to be coming from the motor, so I suspect you're right. How hard a job is a motor service? I also noticed that the arm made noise coming to position, then lowered, and began to make noise again. I pressed the lift button, and then the turn button, and on pressing turn it made more noise, but didn't move. I suspect I'm going to have a little to do, on this.

The deck makes a LOT of noise, which I'm sure isn't right; I'd describe it as sounding like a computer fan with too much dust in the bearings. What could be causing that? The arm tracks correctly to the record, but because the stylus is so tired, I can't tell whether it's playing at the correct speed. A little

Extraordinary wriggling from an eBay seller
I was lucky enough (I thought) to win a Beocentre 4000 (the first time round), with a set of S40s and an iPod-DIN cable for £5, but the fun I've had trying to get hold of it has been extraordinary. Firstly, I messaged him and suggested a pickup date 2 weeks from the sale. He replied that they needed to be picked up immediately because he was moving abroad at the end of the week, which he hadn't mentioned in the listing. I therefore arranged to go down the following day, and then got
