Maybe try the following to trace the problem: 1- connect your beolabs (assuming you have these connected to the 3200) direct to the PM to see if you get any sound. 2-connect another sound source (ipod, cd player, depending on what cable you can get your hands on...) tothe aux input of the 3200 to find out that that is working.

To complete my refurbished BG6006 i am looking for the plastic cover for the arms. The one shown has 2 unequal openings (this is for the model with MMC1-5 cartridge), the one i need should have 2 equal openings (for the MMC20 arm). Alternatively, a scrap/donor BG (with that cover still present) is also fine...

Well, i don't think it matters which car, in those days (up to the 90's) there was no such thing as a standard for car radio's and installing one always was a pain in the ...:) so for sure it was just a matter of putting the bracket wherever you want it, and connect power, aerial and optionally external speaker. however, my guess is that people who could afford a Beolit 1000, had a kind of car either including a radio or a nice console in place where these brackets don't fit... it
