Avant 32 link TV Format
I use an Avant 32 DVD as a link TV. When I press V.MEM (Humax PVR in main room) the Avant adjusts the picture automatically to 16:9. However when I press AV V.MEM the picture goes to 14:9. The TV will not auto adjust and I need to manually select format 3 each time. Is there a way to make the Avant use wide screen signalling in AV-V.MEM?

Beo4 'AV' version
It appears that to input 'soft' buttons into the list on this version of the Beo4 you generally need to put them in the order you wish to access them i.e. no 'move' option. However I cannot seem to get 'Link' in position one which is where I want it. In my case I need CDV and Phono but the software puts these ahead of 'link' in the list regardless of the order they are put in. Is there a way around this?

Re: Beo4 'AV' version
Yes I removed all of them then re-added in the order I wanted but the SW will not let LINK be at no.1. Example, If CDV and PHONO are in the list, LINK is automatically made No.3 whichever order I put them in! There will I'm sure be a good reason for this but the MOVE option is certainly welcome in later versions.

Re: Beovison 10-40
9553 many thanks Lee. I might even go smaller if anything but I think the 40 will be best to replace a 32 Avant. David

Beovison 10-40
Which type number has the DVBT2 module for HD in the UK? Or the serial number when this and the 3 HDMI inputs were introduced. Thanks David.

Re: BC9500
I am encouraged by your reply. I have had mine around 15 years and it has always made a whirring noise before switch off. I thought it was the CD drive or the door motors 'checking' the doors are closed. Thanks David

BC9500
I recently replaced the CD door drive belt on my BC9500 and this is now fully working again. Before doing this job when switching off the unit there was always a protracted motor noise 2-3seconds before the relay clicked. Now this does not happen so something is not right. I can still hear a noise but it sounds wrong. I assume something has not seated properly when closing the beocenter from the service position. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Avant 32 Link compatibility
Thank you Stefan, Yes finally have the video sound! The crossed cable has created changes to the audio side as I predicted. To listen to the radio I have to turn on a video source then press AV-Radio. Then I can press Radio and the tube will turn off. However if I want to then listen to a CD I have to again turn the TV on and press AV-CD. So not perfect but for the most part I use video sources so a big improvement! David

Re: Avant 32 Link compatibility
This quandary is now solved by crossing pins 1/3 and 4/5 in the datalink cable between the MCL2AV and Beolink converter 1611 - as suggested by Stefan in another thread. Many thanks to Stefan and Beoworld! David
